Nowadays, wireless sensor devices have received wide attention across medical application areas; among them, implantable sensing devices are between the most important because of the contribution they make to healthcare and investigations. Nevertheless, the implantable sensing devices must be tested before pre-clinical or in-vivo studies are initiated and test benches are used to perform this previous tests. For this reason, this thesis presents the design and implementation of a test bench to acquire the data from an implantable sensing device that is being developed and will be used to sense the pressure within the thoracic cavity of mammals. The main objective on this research is the development of finding the optimal parameters for a routing algorithm for network routers based on the ant algorithm described as AntNet. The optimum parameters for this type of algorithm improve a more efficient alternative to those given by the RIP, EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols, to be applied in a data network. This shall be tested in two networks and routers defined, taking the same characteristics for the three groups: RIP, OSPF and by the result provided by the genetic algorithm implemented using a static network. This study focuses on developing an environmental management strategy to mitigate the environmental and health risks of hazardous waste at Support Hospital II-1 in the province of Bagua. The objectives include performing an initial diagnosis of the management of this waste, assessing the associated risks, and characterizing the key factors to propose an effective strategy. The methodology included the characterization of hazardous waste generated during a week, using descriptive statistics to analyze daily volume and weight data. Hospital staff participated through questionnaires and checklists according to NTS No. 144-2018-DISA-DIGESA regulations. El estudio califica el prototipo de un contenedor pasivo modular hecho de propileno y poliestireno expandido para almacenar productos refrigerados (2 °C a 8 °C), siguiendo el “Protocolo de Calificación de Diseño y Operación”. Se aplicaron pruebas basadas en la norma ASTM D3103−20 y el Suplemento Técnico N°13 de la WHO, considerando la normativa peruana vigente sobre Buenas Prácticas de Distribución y Transporte. El proceso de calificación incluyó dos etapas: diseño y operación. En la primera, se evaluó el contenedor en una cámara climática, asegurando su capacidad para mantener la temperatura dentro del rango establecido durante 24 horas. Urban sprawl is a phenomenon of great importance for people who live in large cities and feel the effects of it, which can affect their quality of life. In this regard, the objective of this research is to know the perception of the urban being in relation to the quality of urban life in the metropolitan area of Monterrey, Mexico. A qualitative investigation was carried out, of thematic analysis design. 24 residents of the metropolitan area of Monterrey participated. A semi-structured in-depth interview was applied. As results, it was found that the quality of urban life can be understood through external qualities, such as the standard of living appropriate to their needs; and internal, such as urban happiness, urban lifestyles and rethinking the link between society and nature.
