In the administration of academic knowledge, the trends towards which the Peruvian universities’ libraries are steering their ship to are identified. Starting from these, a reflection is made about the reason of being of each one of them and challenges are put forth that allow the libraries to evidence their contribution to the betterment of the teaching and learning processes, as well as the generation and diffusion of scientific knowledge. La Escuela de Empresa de la UPC es una organización que inicia sus actividades en Octubre de 1997 con el lanzamiento de sus dos primeros productos: Maestría en Administración de Empresas (MBA) a tiempo parcial y Maestría en Marketing a tiempo parcial. Luego de dos años de funcionamiento, la Escuela de Empresa además de las maestrías mencionadas, ha lanzado nuevos productos (Programas de Alta Dirección, cursos con la Universidad Católica de Chile, American Management Association, entre otros) generando una serie de procesos que posibilitan su desarrollo. A propósito de su trigésimo aniversario, la Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) convocó a un grupo de autoridades académicas a escribir algunos ensayos y reflexiones que dan cuenta de cómo la universidad se ha vinculado concretamente a la construcción del país durante las tres últimas décadas.
