“The objective of the research was to evaluate the consistency of different training proposals, proposing as a reference a competency-based curriculum planning model. Qualitative methodology was used from an interpretive paradigm, making use of inductive and deductive analysis at the same time. Inductively, observations were generated through documentary analysis, interviews with experts, and a focus group with university professors, who then deductively derived interpretations and forecasts regarding curricular planning. As a result, it was obtained that the designed model, based on the triangulation of the information collected, allowed evaluating and determining the strengths and weaknesses of the priority elements of the university curriculum: the graduation profile, the study plan and the evaluation system. The main conclusion was that it is necessary to have clear parameters for ...

In the ecological literature, the interference (self-interference) or competition among predators to effect the harvesting of their prey has been modeled by different mathematical formulations. In this work, we will establish the dynamical properties of the Leslie-Gower type predation model, in which is incorporated one of these form, described by the function b (y) = yalfa , with 0 < alfa < 1.The main difficulty of the analysis is due to this function is not differentiable for y = 0, and the Jacobian matrix is not defined in the equilibrium points over the horizontal axis (x-axis).Previously, we showed a summary with the fundamental properties of the Leslie-Gower type model, in order to carry out an adequate comparative analysis with models where self-interference between predators is incorporated. To reinforce our results, some numerical simulations are shown.

This study aims to design a virtual learning platform for the Francisco Pizarro Educational Unit, based on a Moodle pedagogical model that offers a variety of flexible tools and functions that make it easier for students to build their own knowledge, the methodology is a research with a focus quantitative based on empiricism, experience, observation and analysis of facts, the research design is quasi-experimental, the survey and questions were used for the pair of variables, 74 students participated. It is concluded that the Shapiro-Wilk test (n < 50); points out that in the pretest, both the control group and the experimental group obtain a sig. = 0.000. Consequently, in all cases, the groups obtained a sig. < 0.05, in this way the H0 is rejected and the HI is accepted: which means that the data analyzed does not follow a normal distribution. Therefore, the Mann Whitney U statistic was ...

Delegation is usually defined as that technique through which the delegate is discharged of initial functions and competences, transferring them to the delegate and thereby producing a transformation of the individual responsibility spheres of both the first and second. In the delegation, the position of guarantor of the delegate would correspond to the responsibility for authorship regarding the unavoidable result, while the responsibility of thedelegate would be that of criminal participation. The businessman, therefore, would not extinguish his position as guarantor, but would modify it, so that the duties of control and avoidance of harmful events would become duties of supervision and monitoring of the delegate’s work.

In order to understand and predict students' achievement and persistence at learning activities, many contemporary motivational models consider how much students are motivated for their school work. However, students' achievement and persistence might not only be affected by their amount of study motivation, but also by the motivation to engage in competing alternative activities, as suggested three decades ago by Atkinson and Birch in their "Dynamics of Action " (1970). Building on this line of theorizing, the present contribution indicates that it is not only instructive to consider the level of students' motivation for these competing activities, but also the type of activities they engage in, that is leisure vs. working activities. Two studies demonstrated that whereas time spent on working activities is inversely related to study motivation, attitude, persistence and academic achiev...

Due to the importance of developing digital teaching competencies in the teacher training processes, e-activities were designed in order to increase the functionality of these competences and to be evaluated through rubrics. Therefore, the objective of this study is to verify the validity of the rubrics in order to assess the digital teaching competence and their respective effectiveness, according to the model of the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training in Spain. To this end, a two-phase validation procedure was implemented: one by expert judgment, in which the correspondence of the rubrics with the indicators of digital teaching competence had to be corroborated and another phase of empirical validation to validate the efficiency of the rubrics for e-activity corrections, corrected by three teachers. In this phase, a mean difference analysis was performed...

This study aims to contribute to the improvement of human resources management through a competency-based management model for administrative positions in the central administration that will lead to organizational development at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. This is because, on some occasions, people who hold administrative positions lack the training required to manage, and only have technical knowledge, which is not enough to achieve the objectives determined in university’s strategic plan. Different bibliographic sources, studies related to the topic, as well as the methodology established by SERVIR were reviewed. The study revealed that no specific measures have been established for the profiles of management positions at the university, so that it is therefore necessary for the human resources office to implement a competency-based management model and enforce the est...

Academic self-efficacy is a powerful predictor of academic success, yet there are several factors that predispose it. Because of this, an explanatory model is proposed using the self-regulation of academic activities, positive affection, and personality. Hierarchical multiple linear regression was used to support the predictive proposal of the model. The Specific Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale of Academic Situations, The Scale of Positive and Negative Experience, Subscale Self-Regulation of Activities of the Academic Procrastination Scale, and Mini International Personality Item Pool (MINI-IPIP) were used. High correlations were obtained in the self-regulation of activities, positive affection, and personality (extraversion, concientousness and openness to experience) to academic self-efficacy. The final predictive model explained 30.1% of the total variance of academic self-efficacy. In ...

Literature as an artistic phenomenon is a proposal to create meaning and negotiate aesthetic values within a community. When this interaction occurs in the university environment, building up meaning is part of the academic discursive practices. Becoming familiar with these practices and successfully reproducing them requires specialized training. This article is based on the theory of critical reading, and presents a systematic and functional methodology to strategically read short narrative literary texts in an early-year college literature class. This competency-based approach privileges the collective construction of meaning and gives the student an active role in their learning. Therefore, it trains individuals capable of reading critically and appreciating an artistic product. We include a guide to commenting on short stories and a methodology for class discussion.

In this paper, we present a methodology for evaluating competing organizations in order to identify best practices among those organizations. We focus attention specifically on competitiveness in the context of a set of business schools for the purpose of identifying those that appear to be most efficient relative to their peers. One of the most widely recognized efficiency measurement methodologies is data envelopment analysis (DEA). DEA literature has witnessed the expansion of the original concept to encompass a wide range of theoretical and applied research areas, with one such area being network DEA, with two-stage DEA in particular. This latter concept and its extensions to multi-stage situations have been particularly influential in such settings as supply chain management. In the conventional two-stage serial model, it is assumed that in each stage efficiency will be defined by t...

This paperpresents aresearch carried out on the achievement of competenciesduring the learning process in times of COVID-19 in Peruvian Basic Education, which has gone from a face-to-face modality to another ofdistancelearning. For the variable achievement of competencies, four dimensions have been considered: cognitive, communicative, social and ethical. It was developed within the quantitative approach, its level was descriptive explanatory, of non-experimental design, transactional exploratory, applying a survey to 212 teachers of an educational network in Metropolitan Lima. The objective was to analyze the predominant factor that hinders the achievement of the prioritized competencies. Applying the logistic regression, from the teachers' perspective, it was possible to determine that the feedback (0.589) and the portfolio evaluation (0.694) are factors that hinderthe achievement of co...

Early mathematical competencies have a great impact on academic performance and on the development of more complex mathematical skills, especially in early education. Several authors have highlighted the importance of working memory and inhibition in the development of these mathematical skills; however, there is no agreement regarding the explanatory capacity of these executive domains with respect to differentiated performance in mathematics. The aim of this research was to evaluate the predictive capacity of verbal and visuospatial working memory and of behavioral and cognitive inhibition in mathematical competencies of relational logic and numerical type in 106 Chilean children of early education between 4 and 6 years old, who were evaluated with four executive tasks and an early mathematical assessment test. For data analysis, correlations and multiple linear regressions were perfor...

Higher education sectors have experienced high levels of competence. In this scenario, some universities have responded through the offer of studies in non-traditional modality (distance). Various scales have been proposed to measure the quality of service in higher education, but few studies have focused on distance modality (non-traditional modality). This is relevant, since distance higher education has characteristics that differentiate it from higher education in traditional modality (presential). Given this, this research focuses on the proposal, development and validation of a scale of service quality measurement in distance higher education, which is called “Distance Higher Education Service Quality Service” (DIHESQ). A three-stage methodology is applied. First, the DIHESQ measurement scale is proposed ensuring its content validity, later the analysis of unidimensionality is ...

The current study relates to designing a swarming computational paradigm to solve the influenza disease system (IDS). The nonlinear system’s mathematical form depends upon four classes: susceptible ndividuals, infected people, recovered individuals and cross-immune people. The solutions of the IDS are provided by using the artificial neural networks (ANNs) together with the swarming computational paradigm-based particle swarm optimization (PSO) and interior-point scheme (IPA) that are the global and local search approaches. The ANNs-PSO-IPA has never been applied to solve the IDS. Instead a merit function in the sense of mean square error is constructed using the differential form of each class of the IDS and then optimized by the PSOIPA. The correctness and accuracy of the scheme are observed to perform the comparative analysis of the obtained IDS results with the Adams solutions (ref...
