Introducción: El cáncer de mama en el Perú presenta una tasa de mortalidad anual del 15,4% y una incidencia del 23,8%; aproximadamente el 41,5% de las mujeres afectadas desarrollan linfedema, lo que compromete su calidad de vida. Aunque existe un tratamiento estándar, se dispone de escasa información sobre el efecto combinado de mangas de compresión y ejercicios de resistencia en el manejo del linfedema, lo que justifica la realización de esta investigación. La siguiente implementación de ahorro energético tiene como propósito optimizar el funcionamiento de la bomba CPH (Condensate Preheater) de acuerdo a la temperatura optima de ingreso al precalentador del HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generators) de la Central Térmica de Ciclo Combinado Kallpa de 870 MW ubicada en el distrito de Chilca, Lima – Perú; esto a fin de reducir el Consumo de Energía Auxiliares de la Central. The aim of the present work was to optimize the sensorial and technological features of ice cream. The experimental work was performed in two stages: 1) optimization of lactose enzymatic hydrolysis, and 2) optimization of the process and product. For the first stage a complete factorial design was developed, optimized using both response surface and the steepest ascent method. In the second stage a mixture design was performed, combining the process variables. The product with the best sensorial acceptance, high yield and low cost was selected. The acceptance of the product was developed by an untrained taster’s panel. As a main result the sensorial and technological features of the final product were improved, establishing the optimum parameters for its elaboration.

Objetivo: Determinar los factores pronósticos de mortalidad, estancia hospitalaria prolongada y deterioro funcional en adultos mayores hospitalizados en el Departamento de Medicina Interna del Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue. Material y métodos: Estudio observacional, analítico, prospectivo, de cohortes. Se incluyeron 360 pacientes mayores de 60 años, admitidos durante el año 2019 y evaluados mediante la Valoración Geriátrica Integral. El desenlace combinado primario fue la ocurrencia de mortalidad o estancia hospitalaria prolongada. En nuestra práctica odontológica podemos observar que uno de los grandes problemas es la pérdida de tejido óseo producida por diversos tipos de lesiones o patologías. Las lesiones de tejido más comunes se deben a la pérdida por caries o enfermedad periodontal. Ante estas lesiones el organismo responde con un proceso de restauración del tejido dañado, creando un tejido similar, pero sin devolver la forma y función original, a este proceso se le llama Reparación Ósea. Ramsay Hunt syndrome (RHS) is a rare neurological complication of varicella-zoster virus infection, characterized by peripheral facial paralysis, otalgia, and auricular vesicular lesions. We report the case of a 31-year-old woman presenting with typical symptoms of the syndrome, clinically diagnosed at the General Hospital of Benguela, Angola, in a resource-limited setting. Treatment with acyclovir, prednisone, and supportive measures led to good functional recovery. This case highlights the importance of clinical recognition of RHS in regions with limited access to complementary tests, reinforcing the need for improved diagnostic surveillance and medical training. Se intenta determinar si existen diferencias significativas en la riqueza léxica en función del grado escolar y de el tipo de centro educativo, estatal o particular. Con una muestra de 2956 estudiantes a los que se evaluó con la Prueba de Riqueza y de Precisión Léxica construida por André Rey (1962). Se analizaron los datos mediante el análisis factorial de varianza para el efecto individual y combinado y el Análisis de Varianza de un Factor para diseño multigrupo. Se concluye que se confirman ambas hipótesis. Es decir que tanto el colegio de procedencia como el grado de estudios causan diferencias significativas.

El objetivo de esta investigación fue diseñar e implementar un sistema embebido utilizando Python para restringir el riesgo de incendio por sobre amperaje en autobuses de Metalval, Trujillo. Se integraron módulos tecnológicos como el transductor de corriente, sensores de temperatura, relés de activación y un módulo de comunicación 4G, controlados por una Raspberry Pi 4. Se determinó que las condiciones necesarias para el buen funcionamiento del sistema incluyeron una correcta configuración de los sensores, como el transductor de corriente (24VDC de entrada, rango de salida de 4-20mA) y el sensor de temperatura (rango de -55°C a +125°C), así como un suministro de energía estable (5.1V/3A) para la Raspberry Pi. El fruto es de alto valor nutricional y energético por su contenido en sustancias funcionales, vitaminas y minerales, con alto porcentaje de grasa insaturada el cual le confiere propiedades especiales a la fruta. La pulpa se obtiene de manera manual usando la técnica del cuchareo, previo remojo. Por el alto contenido de grasa y de otras sustancias la pulpa se oxida rápidamente a medio ambiente oscureciéndose el color.
