Metacognition as a learning process allows our mind to have the ability to turn on itself and analyze our own thoughts and our knowledge. For this reason, it is important that the teachinglearning processes are strengthened in order to achieve a satisfactory learning in students and give them a better knowledge of their abilities. In this regard, the present article will address the topic of metacognition, its dimensions, metacognitive strategies and metacognition classes in order to provide a contribution to Education at all levels.

The work is based on the need of every education professional to become an educational analyst. It summarizes and explains a series of analysis categories that allow educational phenomena to be approached from a cognitive perspective. It starts with a general introduction about cognition and different lines from which it can be addressed. Then the lower and upper cognitive processes are described. It is expected that the typology of processes provided will be a valuable tool for the analysis of teaching situations.

Gamification from the use of platforms in virtual environments, has served for various studies with findings in structural learning. However, there is little evidence in the use of formal gamification platforms that include cognitive conflict from its pedagogical utility. The research has been carried out applying an experimental design with pretest and posttest measurements. We apply two types of cognitive conflict which we call Gamification Packages / Cognitive Packages. We used formal gamifiers (Mural.ly, Mentimeter, Google Jamboard, Kahoot!), applied in three experimental comparison groups of 150 students (M = 13,2 years; SD = 2,03). Reading, math, reasoning, and research science assignments were assessed. The findings reported greater effects in the group that received the Gamification Packages, secondly, the effects of Cognitive Packages,

The study of Neuroscience and The seven Learnings introduce Neuroscience as the new paradigm that enables to analyze and explain the intelligent human behavior. The discoveries found in this field have been shown not only in the theory but in the pedagogical practice as well. In the first case, one of the most recent theories about intelligent behavior has been conceived from the perspective of neuroscience (science that studies HUMAN BRAIN). (Beauport and Diaz, 1994) This study has given more relevance to the relation between the function of the brain and human behavior as well as the conditions that lead to an efficient teaching – learning process. In this context, we introduce The seven Learnings, described by Edgar Morin that state central problems which have been ignored and that are necessary in order to reach a successful teachinglearning process in this century. These seven Lea...

The investigation shows the results founded in the field of Reading Comprehension. Starting from the theoretic model of cognitive psychology and psycholinguistics, and in particular the theory of Van Dijk and Kintsch (1983, 1993, 1994). The author explores the problematic of comprehensive reading in a group of children and teenagers with learning disabilities in the province of Callao, trying to know how much can they could intervening in the improvement of their reading weakness, for what we have design and application and an Experimental Program of Treatment. The most important idea of the study was the significant difference in reading comprehension levels reached in the pre test and in the post test, by the group I students after applying the experimental program, and as an important improvement in the student group II.

In the current scientific literature refers to the contributions from the Neurosciences for the understanding of learning processes. This is how, as well as from the branches of Neurosciences, such as Cognitive Neuroscience, specific contributions are bornthat facilitates the understanding of these processes. On the other hand, Neuroeducation as a new discipline proposes to take these contributions from the Neurosciences for the improvement of educational practices, and thereby optimize learning. The objective of this article is to analyze the theoretical contributions in force from the Neurosciences, to understand the learning situated in educational contexts. For this, the relationship of the concepts Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroeducation is alluded to. In addition, the main contributions from the Neurosciences are analyzed to understand the processes of neuroplastici...

This article is shown as an integrated axis which refers directly to the action of strategies in processing the information in the human brain. The objective of this article is to study the achievements of learning strategies influence over the information process, to know the learning process of people in general and to design intervention techniques in order to improve the information process. Therefore, by applying the correct strategies, we will improve any learning process in many ways. From our perspective, to act strategically before any teaching- learning activity involves to make consciously the right decisions in order to regulate the conditions that define the learning process and to reach determined objectives. To teach strategies to students implies to teach them to decide consciously all actions they will perform and to modify them in order to reach determined goals. Result...

This article aims to a research problem that emphasizes the necessity to guide and organize schoolchildren’s cognitive activities. In a situation when cognition becomes the leading activity, new opportunities are opened up for the organization of the whole educational process, including its other aspects such as – development, and learning. The experiment conducted revealed problem points of organizing the process of cognition as well as the necessity for collecting additional data for a future experiment. The paper also puts forward the idea of a correlation between the hierarchical system of principles of education and types of adequacy.

The aim of study was to propose a learning model for the generation and cognitive technological reach in biomedicine. From the key words: learning model, cognitive technology domain, biomedicine on the ScienceDirect platform, a search was made of the last three complete years (2018, 2017, 2016) and published work until the present date of 2019. Only the research articles and the journals were considered: Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine; Future Generation Computer Systems, Computer Science Procedures, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Data & Knowledge Engineering, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Social Science & Medicine. The Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine journal presented the largest number of articles. There were statistically significant differences in relation to the rest, but there were no articles that showed cognitive models for tec...

This article discusses the urgent aspects of online learning didactics. They are comprised of, for instance, organization and methods of organized learning, main principles of actions aimed at practical orientation; their objective is combination of the methods of distance learning, formation of efficient skills of students with social mediation, analysis of reasons of errors and their correction, pursuance of success in relevant areas. Organized online learning also provides opportunity for students to use all advantages of digital technologies: flexibility, individual distribution of learning duration, compatibility with other forms of occupation. In addition to digital know-how, organization of learning and independent work of distant students can develop self-discipline, sustainability of acquired skills. Students can use various digital sources of information available under various...

We show the results of the teaching-learning experience of the Math 'Level 0' course given to the freshers at UPC who do not pass the Math 'Level Exam'. The work was based on the feedback of the learning process and it was done at the same time that the university 'methodology of competencies' was being applied. The difference was based on the feedback given on each class based on evaluations that measured their cognitive and 'procedural knowledge'(part calculus and modelling of everyday situations). The comparison with the results obtained at the end of the week in general evaluations (common for each class) were positive, which encouraged us to keep up this learning process by common agreement. At the end of the course when comparisons between each class were made we saw that 70% passed the course due to applying this methodology. The in...

This paperpresents aresearch carried out on the achievement of competenciesduring the learning process in times of COVID-19 in Peruvian Basic Education, which has gone from a face-to-face modality to another ofdistancelearning. For the variable achievement of competencies, four dimensions have been considered: cognitive, communicative, social and ethical. It was developed within the quantitative approach, its level was descriptive explanatory, of non-experimental design, transactional exploratory, applying a survey to 212 teachers of an educational network in Metropolitan Lima. The objective was to analyze the predominant factor that hinders the achievement of the prioritized competencies. Applying the logistic regression, from the teachers' perspective, it was possible to determine that the feedback (0.589) and the portfolio evaluation (0.694) are factors that hinderthe achievement of co...

The article substantiates the need to integrate the findings of linguistics and information theory for the selection of learning content aimed at developing and perfecting the universal cognitive skills of students of a technical university. Consideration of the concept of information in the learning process, the amount of information, and the quality of information may reveal new insights into the information processes produced by an individual in communication. The authors of the article understand the information process as an action with textual information, leading to its qualitative or formal change with one or another communicative aim.The learning algorithms for working with textual information, proposed by the authors of the article, allow not only to speed up the process of understanding and consolidating the course content but also provide for a self-reflection component of st...
