The aim of this study was to characterize the semen of the Peruvian Hairless Dog. Fifteen males, aged 1 to 5 years, registered by the Kennel Club Peruano were used to collect semen (one ejaculated per male) by digital manipulation. A basic spermatogram was performed and macroscopic (volume and colour) and microscopic (sperm motility and concentration, using light field microscopy) characteristics were recorded. Additionally, sperm function tests were performed: sperm viability (using SYBR-14 and propidium iodide), mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP, using MitoTraker Deep Red FM), and acrosomal integrity (using FITC-PSA and propidium iodide) and analysed by flow cytometry with image analysis. This paper is concerned with traveling wave solutions for a delayed reaction-diffusion SVIR epidemic model that includes both general incidence function and imperfect vaccination. In the model, the spread of infection in space is explicitly taken into account by using a heterogeneous environment; it takes into consideration the delay in immune response and inefficiency in vaccinations. The analysis carried out below shows that the basic reproduction number Ro will be a critical value for determining the existence of traveling waves. More precisely, when Ro > 1 there exists a minimal wave speed ρ* > 0 such that the system admits nontrivial traveling wave solutions for ρ ≥ ρ* whereas no such solutions exist for ρ < ρ*. This article intends to analyze treatment and functions assigned to the penalty by our Peruvian Constitution and the way this legal institution is conducted at the prescribed basic penalty level (imposed by the legislator ineach type of criminal offence), the specific penalty level (imposed by the judge according to its individual characteristics in each case) and at the penitentiary enforcement level. Finally recommends some considerations for carrying out a possible legislative reform in accordance with a criminal policy plan within our constitutional framework.

The objective of this research is to develop as thematic content the worldview, cultural practices and grammatical foundations of the Shipibo-Konibo ethnolinguistic group and, with this, to elaborate the theoretical-methodological framework of a communicative-functional method at a basic level, necessary for its teaching/learning as a second language (SL)/foreign language (LE) in urban contexts. In Mexico, a high percentage of young people experience symptoms of generalized anxiety, which are associated with difficulties in executive functions (EF). However, previous studies have shown inconsistent results, as they often rely solely on either objective or subjective measures. Therefore, this study focused on analyzing the relationship between generalized anxiety and EF using both a neuropsychological battery and a self-report questionnaire, in order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of cognitive functioning in adolescents. Introduction. Dementia is a public health problem; the World Health Organization promotes its research for the implementation of health policies against this disease. Objectives. To determine the prevalence of dementia and describe the functionality of older adults in a geriatric clinic in Huancayo, Peru. Methods. Observational and cross-sectional study, in a random probabilistic sample of 382 patients. Results The average age was 82,6 years, 60,7% was female, the primary education level was 49,7%, the place of origin Huancayo was 29,6%. The prevalence of dementia was estimated in 9,9%, mild cognitive deterioration in 11%. In basic activities of daily life, 19,4% had partial dependence; and in instrumental activities of life, 23% severe dependence. Conclusions. Interrelationships between two species are a basic theme in Population Dynamics, particularly the interaction between predators and their prey. This importance is due to the fact that it allows a deeper understanding of the behavior of complex food webs. In this paper we extend the analysis of a modified Leslie-Gower predator-prey model by assuming that the functional response is sigmoid or Holling type III and the predator have an alternative food. We show that the system representing the model has up to three positive equilibrium points; we establish conditions to determine the nature of each equilibrium point. In addition, we show the existence of different types of bifurcations, including those of Hopf and the homoclinic. The analytical results are discussed from an ecological perspective.

En este trabajo se propone una descripción de los factores pragmáticos y formales que se correlacionan con las secuencias que se desvían del orden básico de los constituyentes en quechua. Se asume como orden básico de esta lengua a la estructura SOV y se vincula a la secuencia OVS con la focalización del sujeto y el estilo directo; a OSV, con la topicalización del objeto; a VSO y VOS, con un foco oracional de contraexpectación y con argumentos focalizados o pesados; y finalmente, a SVO, con la focalización del objeto y el establecimiento de conclusiones.
