The present study seeks to identify, describe and explain attitudes towards plagiarism of Business Administration students from two private universities in Arequipa. A qualitative methodology was used and the analysis content technique was applied. The data were obtained from information from the application of an individual interview guide and a focus group guide. Twenty individual interviews and two focus groups were conducted, totaling 20 newly-admitted students (10 women and 10 men). The categories arising from the answers expressed by the participants were: (a) knowledge of the issue, (b) permissive attitude towards plagiarism, (c) plagiarism as a social facilitator, (d) consequences and (e) preventive attitude. Se busca describir la organización retórica de los resúmenes de artículos de investigación de seis revistas científicas peruanas adscritas a las ciencias biomédicas y sociales. Se analizó la estructura genérica de 270 textos publicados entre los años 2015 y 2019, con un enfoque descendente y bajo el modelo de movimientos retóricos (Swales & Feak, 2009). Los resultados muestran la presencia de patrones de tres y cuatro movimientos en las ciencias sociales, y de cuatro movimientos en las biomédicas. Respecto al orden de aparición de los movimientos, las revistas de ciencias sociales presentan mayor variabilidad frente a las del área biomédica.

This article analyses and explains in a qualitative way verbal irony in real conversations noting how they develop when a special context is taken into consideration. As well as this a difference is distinguished between humorous and critical, because irony is not only used to criticise and annoy, but also to establish a link of complicity among the speakers. The examination of the vocabulary used has been the key note of this investigation because in the conversations literary figures have been found charged with critical irony and that have been used as attenuators to relieve the responsabilities of the speaker. As well as this the hearer will have had to interpret the declarations correctly to discern the pertinent meaning.

Plagiarism, considered as a dishonest act, has been denounced by both academic and non-academic institutions. Given the seriousness and impact of the event, its implications nowadays go beyond regulatory sanctions and its scope even reaches legal and criminal matters. In the present study, a group of definitions is analyzed, product of the information provided by a group of 200 students of a Peruvian private university in order to identify which are the words with which they qualify this act, which are the academic products susceptible of plagiarize and what is the definition that emerges from what is stated by the participants. Este estudio tiene por objetivo caracterizar la producción científica mundial sobre actos de habla en las bases de datos Scopus y Web of Science desde enero del año 2000 a junio del año 2022. Para el análisis bibliométrico se utilizaron los programas Bibliometrix R, Publish or Perish v. 8.1 y VOSwiever. Los resultados evidencian una mayor producción en Scopus, en tanto que los picos de mayor producción se presentaron en los años 2010 y 2015. A partir del año 2017 se observa un crecimiento constante de la producción sobre el tema.

El objetivo de este estudio es precisar la relación entre la percepción de interacción en el aula y el nivel de habilidades sociales. Se realizó un estudio observacional transversal y correlacional en una muestra de 507 estudiantes del séptimo al décimo ciclo de escuelas profesionales de la filial en Arequipa de una universidad privada peruana, reclutados electrónicamente en 2020. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron la Percepción de Interacción Escala en una clase virtual de sala y escala de habilidades suaves. Los resultados muestran la existencia de una débil relación positiva entre la percepción de interacción en el aula virtual y las habilidades sociales. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between engagement and emotional intelligence in male and female students of a private university in Arequipa. For this, a sample of 246 students of the first semester (117 women and 129 men) was taken. Two instruments were applied: the EQI Bar-On (Emotional Quotient Inventory) test adapted by Ugarriza and Pajares and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-9) adapted by Schaufeli and Bakker. The design is of a non-experimental type of relationallevel. The results indicate that the average emotional intelligence obtained in the students was 77.04, out of 120 possible points. This study began with a survey carried out with two groups of teachers belonging to the regions of Moquegua and Arequipa, using the criteria of mandatory Educational Quality Examination of the Ministry of Education, which is applied annually. Creativity is a significant flaw that is observed in the Peruvian educational system, and that has its origins in initial education. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the use of physical space in the development of creativity among pupils of 5-years-old classes of the initial level in Arequipa. In particular, the study was carried out in eight public schools of the Local Educational Management Units of South Arequipa and Caylloma, with 151 students. Two instruments were used, one to evaluate the physical space and an adaptation of the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking. It was found that there is a relationship between the use of physical space and the development of creativity in children of the 5-years-old at the public educational institutions of the Caylloma and South Arequipa.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the scientific production on teacher stress. It is a cross-sectional descriptive study of articles published in journals indexed in the SciELO collection between 2010 and 2018. An estimate of publications per year, journals, institutional affiliations and publication topics was analyzed. It was found that between the aforementioned years, 60 articles on the subject have been published, out of which the years of greatest production fluctuate between 2014 and 2018. The main journals that published articles on this topic are: Research News in Education, Uninorte Health Magazine and the Magazine of Medical Sciences of Pinar del Río in Cuba.
