This study was carried out with the aim of building a scale to quantify the relative frequency with which adolescents observe acts of violence. 860 high school students participated, 433 men and 427 women, aged 12 to 17 years. The 15 items showed adequate homogeneity, discrimination and community indexes. We found evidence of validity in relation to life satisfaction and empathy. The exploratory factor analysis reported that the five factors: observation of violence on the Internet, TV, street, school and home, explain 77.6% of variance. Confirmatory factor analysis showed the model fit of five correlated factors (CFI = .969, RMSEA = .051 and SRMR = .031). Finally, the coefficients Alpha ordinal (.964) and Omega (.957) demonstrate the reliability of the EOVA scale.

In this study, we aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of the WLEIS-S Scale and generate normative data for measuring emotional intelligence in the Peruvian context. A total 782 people participated, 175 men (22.4 %) and 607 women (77.6 %), between 18 and 59 years old (M=29.39, DE=9.67), selected through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. First, the metric quality of its 16 items was verified. Then, its internal structure was analyzed through confirmatory factor analysis, finding adequate fit indices for the bifactor model: χ2=305.795, CFI=.969, TLI=.958, RMSEA=.056 y SRMR=.029, in addition to evidence in favor of its unidimensionality: PUC, ωh and H coefficient >.80, ECV >.60 and explained variance of 71.97%. Likewise, evidence of its discriminant validity was found in relation to the scores of psychological discomfort measured with the K10 Scale (r=-.37, r2=.13). ...

This instrumental design study was carried out with the objective of analyzing the psychometric evidence of the ATPS scale and preparing normative data for its application in secondary school students in Metropolitan Lima. There are 429 students from 11 to 18 years old participated, selected through a non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The confirmatory factor analysis of the one-dimensional model with 15 items did not fit, so 5 were discarded, reaching an adequate fit for this re-specified model: X2/gl =1.681, CFI=.992, TLI=.990, RMSEA=.040, SRMR=.030. Also, evidence of convergent validity was found with test anxiety (r = .618) and discriminant validity with academic self-efficacy (r=-.385). The reliability was estimated with the alpha coefficients: α=.85, and Omega: ω=.86). The factorial invariance analysis showed that the test is equivalent by sex and degree of study (∆CFI <...

In this study, a non-experimental, cross-sectional design with a descriptive-correlational scope was used to examine the relationship between cyber victimization and school engagement. There were 391 students who participated, 51.7% male and 48.3% female, aged 13 to 18 years (M=15.3, SD=0.895), from third (24.5%), fourth (38.8%), and fifth (36.5%) grades of secondary school from three private schools in Lima. For data collection, the School Cybervictimization Scale (ECE) and the School Involvement Scale (EIE-A) were applied. Among the results, high levels of cyberbullying victimization were found in 16% and very high levels in 21.7% of students, as well as low levels of school engagement in 20.5% and very low levels in 19.4% of students. Likewise, a statistically significant and inverse relationship was found, with a small effect size, between the variables (p <.01, rs = -.18, r2 = .0...
