El objetivo fue analizar las propiedades psicométricas y elaborar datos normativos de la Escala de timidez revisada (ETR-13) en adolescentes de Lima Metropolitana. La investigación fue de tipo aplicada y de diseño instrumental, participaron 500 adolescentes entre las edades de 12 a 1 7 años, quienes fueron seleccionados por un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Con referente a los resultados se comprobó que el instrumento cuenta con evidencias de validez basadas en el contenido mediante el criterio de jueces expertos (V-Aiken >.80). Seguidamente, el análisis de los ítems indicó una buena representación estadística y se procedió a comparar 5 modelos mediante el análisis factorial confirmatorio. Background: shyness can interfere with the normal development of social relationships during adolescence, and negatively affect self-concept during schooling; therefore, it is necessary to have valid, reliable, equitable measuring instruments and normative conditions for their appropriate use in the Peruvian context.
