Buildings standing on unstable soils are vulnerable to natural processes such as internal and external geodynamics and climate change. The village of Tapacocha, which is settled on slid floor, would be sensitive to those natural processes. The May 1970 earthquake caused ground fracture and building destruction; heavy rains in 1942 and 1997 caused mudslides that destroyed buildings and agriculture land. In the postnatal phase in mammalians, the vasodilatation of the pulmonary arterioles is critical, since this will affect the amount of blood passing through the alveoli for oxygenation. The aim of the study was to evaluate the diameter, the thickness of the muscle layer and the relationship muscle layer/arteriolar diameter (CM/DA) as indication of changes in the vascular lumen in the postnatal period of baby alpacas. Lungs of 36 alpacas between 1 to 45 days of age were obtained according to nine age groups (one group each 5 days of age). The lung histological sections were stained with Mallory’s phosphotungstic acid hematoxylin. The arteriolar diameter showed a significant increase (p<0.05) between age groups 1 and 2 versus 7, 8 and 9. Mediante la simulación con el método Monte Carlo se realizó una descripción atomística de la estructura de las aleaciones binarias modelo de tipo bcc. Usamos el modelo ABV de la aleación donde se asume la aproximación de interacción par a primeros vecinos con energía de ordenación constante. La dinámica fue introducida por medio de una vacancia que intercambia de lugar con los átomos vecinos más próximos. To better estimate the travel time to the most proximate health care facility (HCF) and determine differences across heterogeneous land coverage types, this study explored the use of a novel cloud-based geospatial modeling approach. Geospatial data of 145,134 cities and villages and 8,067 HCF were gathered with land coverage types, roads and river networks, and digital elevation data to produce high-resolution (30 m) estimates of travel time to HCFs across Peru. This study estimated important variations in travel time to HCFs between urban and rural settings and major land coverage types in Peru.
