Objetivos: Determinar las características fenotípicas y genotípicas de las β-lactamasas de espectro extendido (BLEE) en E. coli aislados de cultivos de orina de pacientes de la comunidad en un laboratorio privado de la ciudad de Lima, Perú. Material y métodos: Se evaluaron 53 aislamientos de E. coli por dos métodos fenotípicos: Jarlier y CLSI, el perfil de susceptibilidad se realizó mediante disco difusión y la caracterización genotípica mediante PCR para los genes blaCTX-M, blaTEM y blaSHV. Resultados: Los 53 aislamientos productores de BLEE representaron el 16,30% del total de aislados de E. coli, afectando principalmente a mujeres mayores de 65 años. The manuscript summarizes the process of elaboration of the Clinical Practice Guide (CPG) for the management of glycemic crises in adult patients with diabetes mellitus of the AUNA Clinic Network. A multidisciplinary team of medical assistants and methodologists carried out the development of the CPG and then there was an external review by a specialist in the field. The Elaboration Group of the CPG (GEG) concluded on 10 PICO questions. A systematic search for CPG, systematic reviews and primary studies was carried out to answer these PICO questions.  To make recommendations we used the "GRADE-Adolopment" methodology and the guidelines of the national regulations. The presence of crpP was established in 201 Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates from 9 Peruvian hospitals. The 76.6% (154/201) of the isolates presented the crpP gene. Overall, 123/201 (61.2%) isolates were non-susceptible to ciprofloxacin. The prevalence of crpP-possessing P. aeruginosa in Peru is higher than in other geographical areas.
