The article published, "Use of face masks and heart rate in adults aged 18 to 60 years", in the Peruvian Journal of Health Sciences of December 22, 2022; refers to a very important daily practice that still persists in us and is the use of face masks, linked to a very important public health problem such as COVID-19. The findings of the study show significant statistical differences by type of face mask, with the KN95 being the most used face mask and the one with the greatest influence on the cardiac pulse; therefore, the team of researchers of the aforementioned article should be warmly congratulated.

Objectives: To determine the prevalence of antiphospholipid antibodies in patients with connective tissue diseases. Design: Descriptive transversal study. Setting: Dos de Mayo Hospital and Institute of Clinical Research, San Marcos University, Lima, Peru. Participants: Patients with diagnosis of collagen disease and healthy subjects. Interventions: In 100 patients with collagen disease and 50 healthy subjects, all from Metropolitan Lima and attended between January and November 2008, fibrinogen, prothrombin time, partial activated thromboplastin time, anticardiolipin antibody and lupus anticoagulant were determined. Introducción: A nivel medular, el SARS-COV2 puede comprometer la hematopoyesis, manifestándose con citopenias y solo se cuenta con estudios realizados en autopsias. Objetivo: describir las características morfológicas de las médulas óseas de los pacientes hospitalizados por neumonía por COVID-19 en el Hospital Nacional “Dos de Mayo”. El estudio: Estudio transversal retrospectivo llevado a cabo en pacientes con diagnóstico de COVID-19. Las lecturas de las médulas óseas fueron confirmadas por un hematólogo entrenado. Introduction. Hemophilia is a rare congenital bleeding disorder; which requires interdisciplinary, complex, and often expensive management. The objective of this clinical practice guideline (CPG) is to provide evidence-based clinical recommendations for the evaluation and management of patients with hemophilia in the Peruvian Social Security (EsSalud). Methods. A local elaboration group (GEG-Local) was established, conformed by specialists in hematology and methodologists. The GEG-Local formulated 8 clinical questions to be answered by this CPG. La hemofilia es un trastorno hemorrágico congénito poco común que requiere un manejo interdisciplinario, complejo, y frecuentemente costoso. La presente guía de práctica clínica provee recomendaciones clínicas basadas en evidencia para el diagnóstico y tratamiento de hemofilia en el Seguro Social de Salud del Perú (EsSalud). Se conformó un grupo elaborador local (GEG-Local) integrado por especialistas en hematología y metodólogos. El GEG-Local formuló ocho preguntas clínicas a ser respondidas por la presente guía.
