THE PASCO REGION IN PERU IS AN AREA THAT HAS HISTORICALLY BEEN POLLUTED BY MINING ACTIVITY AND POPULATION GROWTH. AS A RESULT, THERE IS AN INCREASED PRODUCTION OF URBAN WASTEWATER AND ACIDIC WATER THAT CONTAMINATE LOCAL LAKES SUCH AS QUIULACOCHA AND PATARCOCHA. THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TREATMENT PLANT THAT CAN TREAT THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF WASTEWATERS HAS NOT YET BEEN STUDIED, AND ITS SUSTAINABILITY HAS NOT YET BEEN EVALUATED. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS RESEARCH WAS TO PREDICT THE SUSTAINABILITY OF CO-TREATMENT SYSTEMS IN DIFFERENT SCENARIOS BETWEEN URBAN WASTEWATER AND ACIDIC WATER, EXPRESSED IN TERMS OF A TERNARY EMERGY DIAGRAM. THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS RESEARCH WAS TO EVALUATE THE SUSTAINABILITY OF A CO-TREATMENT SYSTEM THAT COMBINES MUNICIPAL WASTEWATER (MW) AND ACID MINE DRAINAGE (AMD) THROUGH THE TECHNIQUE OF INTERMITTENT ELECTROCOAGULATION, APPLIED AS AN ADVANCED SOLUTION TO IMPROVE CONTAMINANT REMOVAL EFFICIENCY AND OPTIMIZE ENERGY BALANCE. La presente investigación plantea que el tratamiento por fitorremediación acuática con Myriophyllum aquaticum (Veil.) (Veil) reducirá considerablemente la concentración de contaminantes en los efluentes generados por pasivos ambientales mineros de Hualgayoc-Cajamarca. Por ende. el objetivo fue evaluar el potencial de la fitorremediación acuática con Myriophyllum aquaticum (VeII.) a nivel de laboratorio para tratar los efluentes generados por pasivos ambientales mineros de Hualgayoc- Cajamarca.

[Español] Los glaciares tropicales son indicadores sensibles del cambio climático. La pérdida del volumen de los glaciares tropicales en la cuenca Parón (Cordillera Blanca, Perú) es una muestra de esto a nivel global y se espera que tales cambios afecten a los servicios ecosistémicos que son únicos e insustituibles. Este estudio estimó el valor económico de los servicios ecosistémicos asociados con el recurso hídrico impactados por el retroceso glaciar en la cuenca de Parón-Parque Nacional Huascarán (Cordillera Blanca, Perú) entre los años 2009 y 2018. La metodología inició cartografiando los glaciares de 2009 a 2018 usando imágenes satelitales de alta resolución tomadas en temporada seca. This study aimed to bibliometrically analyze the scientific production on pre-Hispanic agricultural technologies, highlighting their potential to address contemporary challenges related to food security and sustainability. To achieve this, 584 documents from SCOPUS (1932–2024) were examined using VOSviewer and CiteSpace, enabling the mapping of co-authorship networks, keywords, and institutional collaborations, as well as reviewing citation indicators, h-index, and gindex. The results indicate a substantial increase in publications since the 1980s, with accelerated growth from the 2000s onward. The United States leads in publication volume, followed by the United Kingdom, China, India, and France.
