In this research is analyzed COVID-19 transmission by thermodynamic and energy balance between geographic areas and its correlation with possible COVID-19 transmission between 2 persons at least. In order to achieve parameters for medical doctors, as for example the minimal distance among two infected people, who have this virus, there were designed mathematical models that were based in statistical data to get information of COVID-19 propagation as the dependence on temperature of geographic areas, moreover the thermal effect of the minimal distance between two people avoiding COVID-19 infection. With this work, answers are sought to the questions: if it could be possible to find a relation between temperature and virus transmission? Or if it could be possible to get a correlation variable among thermal variables with minimal distance separation (it was described above) for two people? ...

HIGH-PERFORMANCE COMPUTING EQUIPMENT USES GRAPHIC PROCESSORS, KNOWN AS GPUS, AS A MECHANISM FOR HIGH COMPUTATIONAL CAPACITY. TO INCREASE THE COMPUTATIONAL CAPACITY, ADDITIONAL GRAPHICS PROCESSORS ARE ADDED IN THE CONFIGURATIONS. THIS STRATEGY INCREASES THE COMPUTATIONAL CAPACITY AS WELL AS CONSIDERABLY INCREASES THE TEMPERATURE GENERATED BY THE ENTIRE SYSTEM, NORMALLY THE GPUS HAVE COOLING SYSTEMS, WHICH HELP TO COOL AS MUCH AS THEY ARE REQUIRED, THE OPERATING SYSTEMS HAVE AUTOMATIC MECHANISMS TO ACCESS THE GPUS, THESE FUNCTIONS ARE ACTIVATED WHEN IT IS REQUIRED TO USE THEM, IN THE EVENT OF A NEED FOR HIGH COMPUTING CAPACITY REQUIREMENT. IN THIS WORK WE DEMONSTRATE A METHOD TO ANALYZE THE OPERATION OF COMPUTING EQUIPMENT WHEN WORKING ON HIGH-PERFORMANCE FUNCTIONS, SUCH AS VIDEO GAMES, WHICH REQUIRE HIGH COMPUTATIONAL CAPACITY TO BE ABLE TO PLAY IN REAL TIME AND PERFORM THE TASKS. This paper presents an analytical solution for the thermoelastic bending analysis of advanced composite sandwich plates by using a new quasi-3D hybrid type HSDT with 6 unknowns which is based on a generalized formulation. In addition, the nonlinear term of the temperature field is included in the generalized mathematical formulation in such way that it can be freely chosen and if desired can be different from the shear strain shape functions of the displacement field. So, infinite quasi-3D hybrid type HSDTs with just 6 unknowns can be derived from the present generalized formulation. The thermoelastic bending governing equations are obtained through the principle of virtual works and solved via Navier Method. Interesting results are obtained and compared with quasi-3D and 2D HSDTs. Transverse shear stress results are strongly influenced by nonlinear temperature field and for different HS...

Intelligent packaging represents a sustainable solution for food preservation by enabling the monitoring of freshness through chromatic changes. In this study, a biofilm based on polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), nanocellulose (NC) extracted from rice straw and blueberry extract was developed and evaluated for its performance as a visual freshness indicator in tilapia fillets. Nanocellulose, obtained by TEMPO oxidation, exhibited proper integration into the polymeric matrix according to transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and X-ray diffraction analysis. The biofilms improved their mechanical properties with the addition of NC, by increasing tensile strength and reducing water solubility. However, the incorporation of anthocyanins increased solubility and water vapor permeability due to their hydrophilic character. Despite this, the...

Transportation is the sector with the highest Greenhouse Gasses (GHG) emissions in Peru, and it is almost completely dependent on fossil energy resources. For the present analysis, we take into account carbon emissions during the production of electricity which may serve as a basis for understanding the carbon footprint (CF) of the alternatives that may be derived from the use of electrical vehicles. Based on the estimated values of emissions according to the type of electricity generation source (renewable or thermal), we have created scenarios to calculate emissions under the condition of electromobility. The CF of the combustion vehicle is 180 gCO2eq/pas-km, while the CF of electric vehicles with renewable energy, national electricity and fossil electricity are 12, 89 and 140 gCO2eq/pas-km respectively. The reduction of CO2 emissions eq. with renewable electrical energy is 93%, while ...

The liquid product obtained from tire pyrolysis process, called tire pyrolysis oil (TPO), has a great attraction as an alternative fuel, as it has a viscosity of 5.43 cSt (Sharma et al., 2016), density of 921 kg/m³ (Gamboa et al., 2020), surface tension of 0.028 N/m (Chumpitaz et al., 2019), and higher heating value of 46.32 MJ/kg (Das et al., 2017), which are similar to diesel oil. These physical and chemical properties have motivated research into its application in furnaces, boilers and compression ignition engines. Generally, TPO is blended with diesel or biodiesel in order to decrease the percentage of sulfur and improve the cetane number of the fuel blend (Sharma et al., 2016). However, the evaluation of the quality and applicability of TPO has been focused mainly on combustion emissions and the performance of thermal equipment fueled with this fuel (and diesel/biodiesel blends), ...

A quasi-three-dimensional solution for the bending analysis of simply supported orthotropic piezoelectric shallow shell panels subjected to thermal, mechanical and electrical potential is introduced. The mechanical governing equations are derived in term of three-dimensional equilibrium relations and the classical Maxwell's equations. The trough-the-thickness temperature is modeled by the Fourier's heat conduction equation. The coupled partial differential equations are solved by Navier closed form solutions. The trough-the-thickness profile for electrical potential, temperature profile and displacements is obtained by using a quasi-exact method so-called the differential quadrature method (DQM). Chebyshev polynomials of the third kind are used as the basis functions and the grid thickness domain discretization for the DQM. The interlaminar conditions for transverse stresses, temperature...

Prickly pear fruits are seasonal and have shades ranging from pale green to deep purple. Their pigments are associated with bioactive compounds, being sensitive to thermal transformation processes for their conservation. The objective of this research was to evaluate the bioactive compounds and the sensory analysis of freeze-dried prickly pear fruits from an inter-Andean valley in Peru. The prickly pear fruits of the morada, anaranjada, and blanca ecotypes came from an inter-Andean valley in Peru at 2972 m altitude. The sliced fruits were freeze-dried at 40 C and 0.25 mTorr, and the total polyphenol content (TPC), vitamin C, and antioxidant activity (AA) were determined, as well as the color L* a* b*, color index (CI*), FTIR spectra, and mineral content. In the same way, sensory analysis of preferences with nine scales was applied. It was observed that in the freeze-dried fruits, TPC, AA...

Environmental contamination by heavy metals, such as lead (Pb2+), presents significant risks to ecosystems and public health, necessitating the development of innovative and sustainable remediation methods. This study introduces a novel adsorbent derived from microcellulose (MC) extracted from Stipa obtusa, a grass species native to the Andean regions of Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia, for the removal of lead ions from aqueous solutions. MC fibers were isolated through thermochemical processing, followed by chemical functionalization with sodium chlorite (NaClO2). The resulting functionalized microfibers (FMC) were characterized using elemental analysis, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area analysis (BET), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Batch adsorption experiments identified optimal conditions: an ...

In the present work, the morphometric and functional characteristics of the Teaone river sub-basin were studied, using geographic information systemtools, as an input for land use planning. Digital global elevation models from the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer(ASTER-GDEM) were used. Among the most outstanding parameters we have that the Teaone river sub-basin has an area of 504,66 km2, aperimeter of 138,48 km, a shape factor of 0,27; which means that it is not prone to flash floods; and a compactness index of 1,74 that expresses theelongated shape of the sub-basin, with a low water concentration and unlikely recurrent floods.
