Interpersonal partner violence (IPV) is a worldwide public health problem. As a result of IPV, victims report high rates of physical and behavioral disabilities. Help-seeking behaviors are key to obtaining support on facing and managing IPV. Cultural practices such as machismo, marianismo, and familismo are related to keeping quiet and remaining in an abusive relationship in Latinas. Difficulties in sharing emotions, setting interpersonal boundaries, and communicating needs are also behavioral barriers to seeking help in this population. All these factors are associated with social disconnection which reduces victims’ chances of obtaining support in risky situations. Although several programs have been developed for helping victims of IPV, more evidence on adaptions to particular cultural and interpersonal struggles faced by Latinas’ victims is needed. This article seeks to analyze the function of the International Criminal Court (ICC) from the analytical horizon of critical studies and the particular contributions of the Helsinki School and social idealism. To achieve this objective, the main postulates of both perspectives are compared towards the concept of international criminal justice (ICJ), in general, and towards the performance of the ICC in its time of validity, in particular. The methodology used is that of a documentary analysis with a strong inclination towards texts of a theoretical, doctrinal and jurisprudential nature.

Diabetic foot is one of the main complications of diabetes mellitus; however, in hospitals of provinces from Perú, the relationship of this condition with hospital stay has not been calculated. Objective: To determine the association between hospitalization time and diabetic foot in three hospitals from Cusco, Perú. Methods: A cross-sectional study of secondary data analysis was conducted. We analyzed the data of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted to the internal medicine service between January and December 2016, in three tertiary hospitals in Cusco, Peru. The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between students’ cognitive and self-regulatory strategies, academic engagement, and academic achievement in higher education, analyzing the mediating role of reading comprehension. Different tasks to assess the constructs were administered to 209 students (Mage = 21.71; SD = 4.36). The students' GPA was used as a measure of academic achievement. Significant associations were found between cognitive and self-regulation strategies, academic engagement, reading comprehension, and students' GPA. In addition, a positive association was found between cognitive and self-regulation strategies and academic engagement. Background: Although child maltreatment (CM) has been linked to health problems and poor psychosocial functioning, not all individuals exposed to CM develop or experience negative consequences later in life. This suggests that some individuals show resilience after being exposed to CM. However, conclusions have been limited by inconsistent findings across different CM subtypes and resilience domains. Introduction: Access to contraceptive methods in Venezuelan immigrant women residing in Peru presents limitations due to multiple factors that directly impact their ability to obtain and use them. Objective: To describe the prevalence and explore the factors associated with the use of contraceptive methods among Venezuelan immigrant women in Peru during 2022. Methods: Cross-sectional analytical study of secondary data from the second Survey of the Venezuelan Population Residing in Peru (ENPOVE). Objetivo: Identificar los factores asociados a la anosmia persistente de estudiantes de 20 a 29 años de la Universidad Continental en Huancayo-Perú, 2023-2024. Material y métodos: Estudio transversal analítico que evaluó a jóvenes estudiantes de 20 a 29 años de la Universidad Continental en Huancayo-Perú durante los años 2023-2024. This paper explores the reorganization of security and coercive power in Peru in response to the needs of foreign owned mining companies in an environment of social protest and opposition. It begins with an analytical description of the domestic legal regime that structures security services in Peru. In this context, a case study of Forza is undertaken. Forza is one of Peru’s oldest and most powerful private security companies, recently purchased by a transnational security services corporation. Forza’s human rights record is explored through three on-going cases: the Majaz Case, the Grufides Case and the Business Track Case. Objetivo: Determinar la asociación entre las condiciones laborales y el acceso al equipo de protección personal (EPP) en profesionales de la salud de la ciudad de Lima-Perú. Métodos: Estudio descriptivo, transversal y analítico. La muestra fue de 323 encuestados virtualmente en la ciudad de Lima, que cumplieron los criterios de selección, captados entre el 09/07/2020 al 09/08/2020. El instrumento de recolección de datos fue validado por juicio de expertos con un puntaje >80% (validez de contenido).
