An analysis of the quality management system of the Faculty of Sciences of a public university in Peru is presented. The objective was the identification, description, characterization and analysis of risks of the main processes of university management. Methodologically, the document review technique was used for diagnosis purposes, in addition, the ISO 9001:2015 STANDARD was used as a guide to identify, characterize processes, and carry out a risk analysis according to the process approach. The results made it possible to identify and describe the procedures and make a proposal for risk management of the main processes within the framework of the implementation of a quality management system.

In the present research, nineteen advanced potato clones with pigmented-fleshed were analyzed in two potato-producing localities in Cajamarca, Peru, during two agricultural seasons, by means of the combined analysis of variance, the model of additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) and the Biplot analysis, to analyze the genotype-environment interaction (GEI), in order to select clones with high stability of marketable yield and quality. Multivariate analysis showed differences for the main effects of genotypes, environments and GEI. Which states that the genetic makeup of each clone and the environment influenced the marketable yield and frying color due to the polygenic character that governs these characteristics. In the northern region of Peru, the agro-export sector has grown considerably in the last ten years. In Piura specifically, it can be seen a huge expansion in products such as grape, mango and banana. Cooling systems are important for the agro-export sector representing between 40 and 50% of total electricity consumption, so it is necessary to have efficient automated cooling systems that would meet high quality and performance standards.In this article, a model based on transfer function has been identified for the refrigeration pilot plant of the University of Piura and a PI controller has been designed for said model, comparing its performance in relation to the ON OFF controllers currently used in the Peruvian agro-industry. In this work, we identify soil degradation by salinity, using images of HRG-2 (SPOT), TM and ETM+ (LANDSAT) of high spatial resolution in the sugarcane crops of Empresa Agroindustrial de Pomalca, located in the Lambayeque Region at the north coast of Peru. The reflectance of the surface soil, normalized difference vegetation index, NDVI, and salinity index, IndSal, was estimated from the satellite images using the image processing software ENVI 4.5, and the programming language IDL.Also, the maximum compound values of the NDVI and IndSal was determined from the TM and ETM+ images to identify soils with low farming quality and degraded soils by salinity. Objetive: This integrative review with a descriptive approach aimed to describe the available scientific information on the methods of antifungal identification and susceptibility used to characterize Candida isolates from blood cultures in patients diagnosed with COVID-19. Methods: A systematic search of primary publications was conducted in databases including MEDLINE/PubMed and the Cochrane Library. Specific inclusion and exclusion criteria were established to select studies conducted between 2020 and 2023. Helminthic diseases are a major public health problem. Laboratory diagnosis is of vital importance, which must be supported by a quality assurance system. The objective of the study was to carry out an external evaluation of the laboratories that make up the health care network in order to compare the results of the external quality control in the diagnosis of helminths of the governing laboratory, the Provincial Center of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology, with the participants in Villa Clara province, Cuba. A descriptive and transversal study was carried out, with a discretional sampling of intentional type by criteria. The dehydration processes of onions are governed by a series of kinetic and thermodynamic parameters that, when controlled, facilitate the identification of a mathematical model that will improve the efficiency and quality of the drying process in terms of reducing production costs, environmental sustainability, and the development of innovative products. In this study, various mathematical models were validated to accurately describe the drying process, and from them, the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters governing the dehydration processes were determined. The aims of the proposed research were to identify and document species, production and uses, describe processing procedures for drying, evaluate drying conditions and practices and apply Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles to identify the critical control points involved in drying processes. The study focused on cultivated species of capsicum in the areas around Chuquisaca, Bolivia and Lima, Peru under the guidance of local partners. El presente estudio analiza el tiempo excesivo que tardó el proceso de adquisición de motocicletas para la Dirección de Turismo (DIRTUR) del proyecto N°2452689, llevado a cabo por el Departamento de Abastecimiento (DEPABA) perteneciente a la División de Logística (DIVLOG) de la Policía Nacional del Perú (PNP). El objetivo es conocer la causa del problema con relación al proceso de adquisición de bienes para lo cual, se utilizó una combinación de métodos cualitativos y cuantitativos siendo las metodologías utilizadas: DMAIC, PHVA y KAIZEN. Las conclusiones de la investigación están relacionadas con el uso de la metodología DMAIC, la cual contribuyó a la identificación de las causas principales del problema. Finalmente, se proponen acciones para optimizar el desarrollo del proceso de adquisición de bienes en la Policía Nacional del Perú.

“Objective: To ensure the health of newborns, it is necessary to perform high-quality diagnostic tests. The TORCH panel is a set of tests that identifes infectious pathogens such as Toxoplasma (Toxo) and Cytomegalovirus (CMV) that are common in low-setting populations. We performed TORCH panel quality planning using six sigma in a reference laboratory at Peru. Results: This was a cross-sectional study. TORCH tests include Toxo, Rubella, CMV, and Herpes. We processed all samples by fourth-generation ELISA on the GEMINI XCR200 analyzer (Diatron, Budapest, Hungary). We obtained the imprecision from the annual data of the external quality assessment plan and we used the CLSI EP12-A3 guideline. Dentro del rubro Naval encontramos diferentes áreas como el de reparaciones, modificación y construcción de embarcaciones. También, se encuentra diferentes procesos como el de calderería, soldadura, arenado, pintado, propulsión y gobierno, refrigeración y entre otros. Este trabajo aborda la mejora de la eficiencia en la recepción de leche en una pequeña empresa de productos lácteos mediante estrategias de ingeniería de calidad y estandarización de procesos. El problema principal identificado fue la entrada de leche defectuosa, afectando negativamente la eficiencia y calidad del producto final. Para solucionar este problema, se implementaron tres herramientas clave: mapeo de procesos, control estadístico de procesos (CEP) y estandarización de procedimientos. El mapeo de procesos permitió identificar ineficiencias y optimizar el flujo de trabajo. El CEP se utilizó para monitorear y asegurar la calidad en tiempo real.
