The plant layout problem can be generalized as a case intensively studied combinatorial optimization and therefore its nature is a NP- hard. The core of the problem originally introduced as the Systematic Distribution Planning , a multi -criteria and relatively simple, has been extended to larger contexts , through the formulation as a mathematical model based on the nature of the workshops . Given the computational complexity of the calculations have been developed heuristics ,metaheuristics and others to obtain approximate solutions . The aim of this study is to analyze recent research on plant distribution problems within the industrial context by classifying and comparing the representation of the problem , solution methods , constraints and the objective function used . The report covers more than 30 peer-reviewed articles on the subject. Particular attention is placed on recent pub...

The implementation of any software development process involves the consumption of critical resources. Software engineers cannot experiment with different development processes before starting them in real projects, due to the time that would entail and the amount of elements that are involved, so it is vital to have tools that allow the pre-visualization of the results of executing the software development process and how the environmental variables affect it, thus being able to anticipate under what conditions the software development process will be deployed. This paper presents the modelling and simulation of a software development process using System Dynamics (SD), which allows the graphical representation of the elements intervening in the software process, and the incorporation of as many relevant elements as possible. As a software costs estimation reference, the COCOMO estimati...

Digital Image processing has been a research area of interest in the last decades, standing out for its applications in the analysis of diagnostic images and astronomical images. In this paper, we perform an overview of edge detection methods through finite-difference to present edge detection as a problem-based learning strategy for numerical differentiation, in order to improve the students’ skills in modeling and algorithmic thinking in numerical analysis courses. In addition, we present image restoration through finite-difference as a problem involving partial differential equations and software tools.

In this work we critically approach the figure of the illicit association from a double perspective: historical and constitutional, questioning its theoretical foundations and its jurisprudential use. We connect your employment with arbitrary criminal proceedings where procedural guarantees are usually violated. We recover its political history in times of witch hunts, when the term „subversive association“ is born, in times of persecution of the coven, taken by many contemporary historians (especially feminist as Silvia Federici) as forms of resistance to new forms of organization of rural property (since behind the witch hunt was the expansion of rural capitalism) or resistance to the privatization of land in Europe. We conclude, making a parallel with the witch hunt (political criminalization program), that the alternative to the constant and growing criminalization of marginaliz...

The aim of the study is to find the shape of arch anteroinferior in normal natural occlusions and relate this finding with the Interlandi’s method of selection of the mandibular anterior arch. The sample was 9 study models of the lower arch (5 males and 4 females between 13-17 years) in normooclusion, with mild crowding, no facet of wear, without coronary fracture, no decay or restorations and without some kind of tooth abnormality in shape, size and number. It was the digitizing of models (with points of reference on cusp of canines, interincisor point and canine distal face) with a graph paper (for the calibration software Corel Draw x 5), with same conditions (brightness, contrast, extension 100) and saved in jpg format. Once calibrated the model image, aligned the cusps of the canines in the horizontal plane. First technique with the formation of the segment arch individualized for...

This article presents a theoretical equation set based on the information interactions that result in experiential learning. We attempt to link our equation set to the Uppsala Internationalization Process model in order to quantify information overload and operationalize the Uppsala model under longitudinal time series settings. The internationalization process has generated an increase in the diversity and overall quantity of information, resulting in an increase of the variation and amount of information that a firm needs to process. This challenges a firm's capacity to simultaneously expand and learn. Market knowledge is acquired essentially through current business activities, all of which proceed from a firm's market experience to generate experiential knowledge. Market experience is situation-specific and therefore difficult to generalize. Nonetheless, firms tend to use general -fa...

The location of an industrial plant, is the process of choosing a geographical location to perform the operations of a company. To determine the best location, you must perform an assessment of the factors affecting the selection. Two groups of factors are considered: Quantitative, which are easy to quantify and Qualitative that are less tangible, hard to quantify, evaluation of the latter depends on the judgment of the analyst, keeping a tinge of subjectivity, making no model used to ensure that the venue is optimal. To optimize the classification of factors, it is proposed to use the model of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with a proper rating scale, which ensures consistency of it and allows the use of a software (Expert Choice). This study presents and demonstrates the contribution of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) in the task of optimizing the location of an industrial plant...

The development of intellectual capital at the macro- and mesoscale is the main tool for the transition of the economy to a progressive sixth technological mode, and at the level of an individual organization it ensures its stable position and high competitiveness in the market. However, training and educating its applications are of a great importance. A prerequisite for an effective implementation of this process is the formation of a systemic idea about the phenomenon of intellectual capital, the composition of its elements, the sequence of stages and the necessary conditions for its formation. To solve this problem, the article proposes to use a categorical-system methodology, in particular, the method of “categorical series”. Using the method, the analysis and a comprehensive description of intellectual capital development within the categories of the subject area is performed. ...

Computed tomography (CT) is one of the major technological advances used in medicine to diagnose diseases, but it is also a technique used in other areas, such as eroespacial chemistry, radio astronomy, etc.. The goal of CT is to reconstruct the inside of an object without the need to open it, this process is known a nondestructive testing. To achieve this purpose, the TC uses suffering atenución X-rays to go through said object with said internal information of the object is reconstructed, this is an inverse problem. We got out of the theory and we focus on the practice showing concretely how the inside of an object using an algebraic method known as algebraic reconstruction for a specific event is reconstructed.

One of the first subjects studied in Electricity and Magnetism classes is how one can make an electrically neutral object be an electrically charged object. There are three ways to do it: charging by friction, charging by contact and charging by induction. Induction charging is a method used to charge an object without actually touching the object to any other charged object. In order to illustrate the explanation of how the process of charging an electrically neutral body by induction, a 3D model was built using the finite elements method to show the increasing of the surface charge density in a initially neutral sphere when the distance between this sphere and a negatively charged bar decreases.

This paper considers the proposal, development and numerical simulation of a system that models the behavior of the treatment of HIV-1 using antiretrovirals. The system defined for three dependent variables of the variable t, denoted by X(t)=(x1 (t), x2 (t), x3 (t)) represent the amount of T Lymphocytes "Helpers" (CD4), number of Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes (CD8) Viral load and infection process of HIV-1 at any time t, respectively. The assembly consists of a Nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equations system whose existential domain represents time system evaluation process of infection and viral clearance in a patient with HIV-1. This set of states of Nonlinear Dynamic System, associated with the initial value condition is called Cauchy problem. There are few studies related to the solution of this system, found some of the study are reduced to two variables and others without obtaining the ...
