Objective: To evaluate healing in partial skin graft donor sites using a skin substitute compared to a xenograft in patients with different diseases requiring partial skin grafting. Materials and methods: This paper presents a report of 20 patients between 19 and 65 years from the Plastic Surgery Unit of the Hospital María Auxiliadora in Lima Metropolitan Area, Peru, between December 2017 and June 2018, where healing was evaluated in partial skin graft donor sites. An interventional, analytical, prospective and longitudinal study was conducted using a double-blind design to control possible biases. The present research work addresses the issue of development of geopolymers as an alternative to ordinary Portland cement. For which, descriptions of the materials and instruments used for the necessary tests were made. Also, the experimental methodology for the design of geopolymeric concrete was presented, in which the production process of the precursor material and the activating agent is explained. The dosages and how the four types of mixtures to be tested are composed are shown: the standard concrete (CP) and three mixtures with different replacement variables (M1, M2 and M3). “Okara” is an industrial residue generated from the production of soy milk. This residue can be transformed into okara flour, a higher value-added product that can be used in the baking industry. The main objective of this research is to determine the optimal substitution of wheat flour with okara flour without altering the process or the rheological characteristics in the preparation of panettone. As part of the methodology, the following technological characteristics were evaluated: fibre size, moisture percentage, height variations, final product weights, variation in beating times, acidity, and water activity. This study evaluated the pollutant levels (NO2, SO2, CO, and O3), air quality index (AQI) and the influence of meteorological variables and coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic on the air quality in Rio de Janeiro. The data set used comprises periods before (March-April, 2019) and during pandemic (March-April, 2020). According to the AQI results, on most days, the air quality was ranked as “good”. Brazilian air quality standards for SO2, O3, and NO2 were not exceeded in any of the monitoring stations during partial lockdown, while CO exceeded in all periods in one site due to industrial emission. Comparing both periods, descriptive statistics for the meteorological parameters presented no differences, which suggests similar conditions. With the purpose of improving the quality and nutritional value of baking products, the idea of designing alfajores was proposed by partially replacing wheat flour with sweet potato and maca flour. This approach is aimed at offering products with high levels of nutrients present in sweet potato and maca. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the acceptance of alfajores made with these flours, using raw materials grown and produced in Peru. The research was carried out in the Ancash region, specifically at the facilities of the National University of Santa. To obtain the sweet potato and maca flour, the same procedure was followed: 15 kg of raw material was used, which was subjected to a disinfection process and then dried for 48 hours at 55 °C. The forms of evaluation of the work performance of the employees for years lacked specific indicators about the attitudes or behaviors of the collaborators and it was carried out every year end; For a better evaluation, the real estate company OPTIMA S.A., proposed an evaluation consisting of a continuous monitoring of performance that would allow timely intervention to regulate processes, train personnel and provide the appropriate stimuli to achieve greater awareness and commitment of the collaborators. The correlative coefficients evaluated between the total and partial scores on an elaborative processing of information skills test and the averages notes corresponding to four academic semesters from a students sample of San Marcos University's diverse faculties, allow us to sustain, according to the hypotesis stated, that those skills have an apreciable predictive power of succes in university studies, specially in humanity area. The survey included a comparison betwen the reported correlation and the located, on the same sample, between scores on the admision university test and the averages notes. The result shows in general, that the prosecution of the information test, have a larger predictive power than the admision test.

Objective: To evaluate the tomographic characteristics of the mineralization of the stylohyoid process by volu- metric computed tomography (CT). Material and Methods: reviewed 860 volumetric computed tomographies (593 correspond to the female sex and 267 to the male sex) of the Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Service. The age range was between 6 to 89 years. The tomographic adequacy of the Langlais classification was used. The statistical analysis was performed using the chi-square test. Results: 289 MPE were found, bilateral mineraliza- tion prevailed (68.86%). The arithmetic average length of the MPE was 39.54 mm. The frequency of MPE was 33.60% (289 cases). Sacha inchi Plukenetia voluvilis L., is a species native to and promising cultivation in the Peruvian Amazon, which has nutritional properties (omega 3) beneficial for the human body., therefore the interés of studying and evaluating the shelf life under partular conditions.
