Pressure control during drilling of oil wells can be one of the most complex and dangerous processes at the exploration stage. This study proposes the design and validation of the performance of the Internal Model Controllers (IMC and SIMC) to control the pressure in drilling of oil wells based on the Manage Pressure Drilling (MPD) technique. The MPD adds a control valve in the drilling system to obtain another manipulation variable at the bottom of the well. In the first part of this work, a linear mathematical model of the process was obtained, based on the mechanics of the fluids. Social well-being is the assessment of social functioning, which plays a key role in mental health. In the school context, teachers and school staff can promote students’ well-being, but it is related to their own. To assess their social well-being, the Keyes social well-being scale was adapted to the school context. Psychometric properties were analyzed in 899 teachers and school staff in Valparaíso, Chile. The results suggest that 22 items are suitable for use, showing good fit to the data. Smaller school size and school participation are associated with higher social well-being. The adapted scale can be a useful tool to measure socio-affective variables of adults in the school community.

Background: There is an urgent need to assess changes in well-being on a multinational scale during the COVID-19 pandemic, thus culturally valid scales must be available. Methods: With this in mind, this study examined the invariance of the WHO well-being index (WHO-5) among a sample of 5183 people from 12 Latin Americans countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay). Results: The results of the present study indicate that the WHO-5 is strictly invariant across samples from different Latin American countries. This study assessed the relationship between work-family conflict, work engagement, workaholism and turnover intention in business executives. 275 professionals (65.4% men) completed an online survey containing scales to assess work-family conflict, workaholism, work engagement and turnover intention. Descriptive and inferential statistics were conducted, as well as network and pathway analysis. Partial correlations between the workaholism dimension “working excessively” (WE) and work-family conflict (WFC) werer = .21. WE also predicted WFC (?² = 26.24, df = 7, p < .001; CFI = .95; RMSEA = .10 (.06 - .14), particularly in terms of work interfering in family life, leading to higher turnover intention and reduced work engagement. Model estimates show variations according to gender.

The purpose of the research was to identify the predominant dimension of organizational learning that influences the labor well-being of secondary education teachers -Lima (Peru). The research presented the quantitative approach, basic-substantive type, non-experimental design of cross-sectional, correlational-causal. The sample consisted of 200 teachers chosen by simple random probability sampling, to whom the organizational learning and work well-being surveys validated by Cronbach's Alpha (0.945 and 0.858, respectively) were applied. The results were obtained by means of the Nagelkerke R squared model, generating the value of 0.727 that verified that the estimated model was adequate. The distance education modality, added to the demands of the university environment, can generate states of anxiety and uncertainty in students. Given this, an investigation was carried out whose objective was to describe the psychological well-being of first cycle university students. This is a descriptive case study, with a qualitative approach and phenomenological design. The research was carried out between March and August 2021 and was aimed at 20 students and 10 teachers from the Faculty of Health Sciences of a private university in Lima. In Peru, chicken is one of the most consumed foods in all regions. Due to the constant increase in population,chicken production is increasing in the country. For this reason, a food company must improve its efficiency to satisfy more customers and reduce its costs per productive unit without reducing its quality. The research can be useful to canning companies as well as companies where their machines suffer from many failures within production due to a lack of maintenance planning and worker training. The model used is based on two methodologies: 5S and TPM. These methodologies reduced the total production time per batch by 8% and improved the utilization rate by 7 percentage points. The use of these tools helped reduce corrective maintenance time and standardize processes to avoid recurring equipment failures.

Throughout this text, we will analyze the concept of time and how this time could determine or limit what we understand in palliative care as "dying well". The present study aims to analyze the association between academic stress and psychological well-being, and the role of academic procrastination in this relationship, in a sample of undergraduate students. The sample was composed by 391 undergraduate students from various universities in Lima Metropolitana - Peru. The Spanish adaptation of Ryff’s Psychological Well-being Scales (SPWB), The Cognitive Systemic Inventory (SISCO SV-21) and the Academic Procrastination Scale (EPA). Results show that procrastination and academic stress are negatively related to psychological well being. This exploratory study aims to know how university students perceive that consumption and brands intervene on subjective well-being and identify the elements they consider in their consumption behaviors aimed at obtaining well-being.
