The following research was developed aiming at knowing if the formulation of inferential questions improves the understanding of continued texts at a private institute in Lima. This is an quantitative approach inquiry, with quasi-experimental design, (people in the control and experimental group were not assigned randomly and were not paired due to the fact that the groups were already formed. They existed before the experiment). The technique used was the survey and the instrument: the questionnaire with pretest and posttest, whose reliability coefficient was 0.093085389 (excellent). The use of roadheader (RH ) equipment for the underground mining of zinc ores in the San Vicente reservoir is analyzed. The characteristics of the ore bodies of the deposit is described in terms of technical and economic terms for removal by continuous mining system . Compared with the method of room and pillar mining with filling up currently applied , through the present value (PV ) of the cost of the two mining systems determining the continuous mining method has the lowest present value cost . To adjust the parameters that influence the appearance of defects in the steel in the continuous casting mold, a particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) was developed using process models. The study considered multiple objectives with multiple restrictions and the results were compared with those reported by a teaching-learning-based optimization algorithm (TLBO). We conclude that the PSO has a good capacity to determine the parameters of the mold, and with it, it is possible to achieve an optimal solution without requiring great computational efforts.

In the last stage of development of capitalism, transfers of businesses are frequent. For this purpose, legal systems have regulated procedures to protect creditors and shareholders. In Peruvian legal system, the General Law of Corporations regulates these kinds of transfers through mergers, divisions and reorganizations. En el ensayo se revisa cómo las ciencias sociales actuales hacen uso del concepto paisaje como categoría analítica en la investigación territorial. El estudio del paisaje implica un proceso de multidisciplinariedad importante, en el que la historia funge como eje fundamental al representar la dinámica de las estructuras y morfologías sociales y ambientales que van dejando huellas en los espacios. Los paisajes son ventanas a los diferentes modos de ser y hacer en la historia, por lo que son una herramienta con grandes posibilidades para comprender las súbitas transformaciones de las regiones contemporáneas. La discusión que se propone en este sentido, comienza por encontrar la posición teórico-metodológica de los estudios del paisaje en las ciencias sociales, en específico con el enfoque cultural en geografía.

Objective. To identify the relationship between organizational factors and individual factors of e-learning, with the use of it for the purposes of continued education of health professionals, in public and private hospitals. Methods. A non-experimental research has been developed, with a correlational scope, with a sample of 134 health professionals of one private and two public hospitals in Lima, Peru. Results. The use of e-learning for continued education is high (over 70%), with an average of 105 daily minutes of access to training content, and that its main modalities are video conferences and online courses. El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar el uso del método Kaizen en las Mypes de ropa y accesorios para damas, ciudad Iquitos, 2023. La metodología consistió en un diseño descriptivo, no correlacional y no experimental. Diez empresas constituyeron la población y la muestra. Los resultados señalan que el uso del método en clasificar, respecto al merchandising, se están desarrollando las estrategias de hacer visible el producto, el 70%; presentación de precios, las empresas están desarrollando la estrategia de visibilización, 60%. In this work, we try to find factors that determine the export continuity of Peruvian apparel exporters. Logistic regression has been used because it gives several advantages over other methods where the outcome variable is dichotomous or continuous with few values. Logit model exhibits significant interactions which have been deeply analyzed. Likewise, it was possible an exhaustive residual and goodness-of-fit analysis. Finally, we could validate the model for forecast of export continuity in 2006.

The notable performance of seismically isolated bridges in South America during the last two major seismic events has been reflected in the increase in the use of base insulators in this type of infrastructure. In this work, a multi-span non-isolated bridge was retrofitted to achieve continuous functionality by adopting seismic isolation devices. In order to carry out a comparative evaluation, the bridge was analyzed using elastomeric and sliding type isolation devices.
