The main characteristic of unlawful acts is that the perpetrator seeks their secrecy; in this sense, it is important to obtain few means of evidence to reveal the act directly. In this context, circumstantial evidence is a key element in uncovering the illegal act and its perpetrator. Within the framework of inductive reasoning, several indicia have been formulated, one of which stands out because it allegedly undermines the right of defence of the accused. We refer to the indicia of false justification, which is established when the defendant’s alibi is shown to be false and this aspect is used against the defendant.

The association between leptospiral infection and reproductive problems in ewes from a large sheep enterprise in Junin, Peru, was evaluated in a Case-Control study during the breeding season of 2003. Serum samples from 2-10 year-old ewes with abortion or infertility problems (Case group, n = 220) and from ewes without reproductive problems (Control group, n = 220) were collected for the detection of antibodies against Leptospira serovar: pomona, hardjo, canicola, icterohaemorrhagiae, grippotyphosa, wolffi, ballum and bratislava by the microscopic agglutination test. The prevalence of Leptospira sp. was 24.8 ± 4.6%, corresponding 28.6 ± 7.0% to the Case group and 20.9 ± 5.9% to the Control group. No statistic association between leptospiral antibodies and reproductive problems was found by the Chi Square test. The highest serological prevalence (42.2%) was recorded for serovar ballum f...

Three hundred fifty-seven university records of students reported as undergoing academic problems were studied between Abril 1990 and August 1996. Research was aimed at determining the contributing factors to the problem and also at designing academic support programs and psychopedagogical support actions, and others on a preventive basis. Three study areas were selected: intelligence, as assessed through the WAIS test; personality as assessed through both the GuilfordZimmerman Temperament and the MMPI Inventories; and study habit, through Brown’s Study Abilities Survey.

This work describes and evaluates the application of a module to increase the specific abilities set in action when students resolve math problems. Such abilities are: analyzing the problem, identifying and laying out strategies, applying algorithms and revising the process that leads to the solution. The module presents problems solved by the teacher (modelling strategies) and uses the work of peers in order to consolidate and evaluate the work. The study uses a quasi experimental design with two pre defined groups, pre and post test. The sample was not probabilistic and was formed by 70 students. A test with 10 math problems was used as the instrument meant for the students to use the four strategies suggested in the module. Results show a difference in favor of the experimental group, which allows us to conclude that the module has an influence in the evaluated abilities.

In a pandemic, the hearings, in most cases, have been held virtually. However, although there have been good results, it is not an obstacle to wonder if these can be carried out with the same effectiveness as a face-to-face session. In this sense, we have considered analyzing the comparative and national legislation on the hearing of evidence. Next, we have identified the problems with the virtual test audience; specifically, we have focused on the psychology of testimony and how its development can be influenced by virtuality. Finally, we have suggested proposals to improve the service of our administration of justice.

One of the problems in the care of coronary patients is accurately assessing the functional state of the myocardium. Contributions from Master ( 25, 26) , using the Test of electrocardiographic Effort constitute itself a doctrinal issue in evaluating the state of coronary sufficiency. However, results based seudonegativos Scherf and Schaffer ( 33 ) can be found in 20% , and even the same Master considered by over 50 % . Recent research by Simonson (34, 35, 36 ), reviews the impact should be taken into account also in seudopositivos results. Be remembered that if a Stress Test is negative , is no guarantee for exempting imminent post coronary insufficiency ( 12). With the introduction of Practice Ballistocardiography by Dock system (10 ) , ( 11) , it is possible to insist on this method to find out the exact behavior of the myocardium in patients with coronary disease.

This paper presents a new nonparametric test for two independent samples. It has been decided to make the inference, using all the possible differences between the comments of the two samples, and has used the Wilcoxon method for treatment, but with a different attitude when faced with a couple of comments that did not numerically presents difference, it not removed from the analysis. This test proves to be suitable from small samples (n = 5) and is very sensitive to detect significant differences between the populations from which the samples were taken. The most important thing in this test, it is also able to check when each sample has all his remarks equals (S12= S22 = 0), a problem which does not exceed t-Student test or Mann-Whitney test due to the correction for draws.

This study sets out to establish the effects of problem-based learning on translator instrumental competence in students of the School of Translation and Interpretation of a private university in the city of Lima. Focused on the search for explanations regarding ability to know how to translate, present and absent in university students and if this competence was due to the multiple tasks assigned. Developed within the neo-positivist paradigm, quantitative approach, substantive type, non-experimental design, deductive hypothetical method. The population consisted of 233 students and the sample of 145 calculated by random probabilistic sampling, which were supplied with a battery of questions (Likert scale). Which were validated by content, the reliability of high consistency for both variables established by Cronbach's Alpha. The hypothesis test was carried out through Spearman's Rho cor...
