The Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) are independent methodologies, that can be used and developed freely, but can be an important enhancer when you want to achieve innovation if they work together. The objective of this article is to present an analysis of the customers’ requirements in a product manufactured with biodegradable materials, the output result when applying the QFD was the quality critic related to toxicity, while the input information for the matrix TRIZ’s technical contradictions were the translation of the quality critic to one of the 39 technical design parameters, corresponding to parameter 30 (Harmful factors acting on the object from outside), being considered as the transfer point between the methodologies thus achieving the integration of both.

The Knowledge, from the perspective of the Greeks, it has four types: Empeiria, tekhne, episteme and nous. These types have different characteristics, as they target the source dimension (facts and concepts), or the purpose dimension (contemplation or domain). On the basis of these dimensions is presented a tool kit to collect, develop and build personal strengths, arising from the disposition of knowledge itself. This tool allows to outline the productive potential of staff, from the perspective that the knowledge acquired, determines the disposition and development of ability to make decisions and solve problems. In the sample studied, it was noted that professionals have different susceptibility to the dimensions of knowledge, which leads to a different personal profi le for the resolution of problems. According to the predominant profi le, professionals are more focused on the analys...

There are two ways to solve problems in organizations. The fi rst is the traditional one, which states that unwanted situations are resolved by identifying the troubling facts and applying the appropriate technical tools, the second approach considers the resolution of problems is preset by the manager based on their perspective and infl uenced by the circumstances surrounding it. This paper is based on the second side, the manager knows business models and paradigms are learned through actual experience, theoretical study, technological design or creative intuition, which provide a particular perspective on the problem, which is complemented with relativism of circumstances: 1°) the role and status by level of resolution, 2°) professional and choice preferences, 3°) goals, group identity and culture, 4°) historical path and epistemological framework. The study will allow managers to...

This work describes and evaluates the application of a module to increase the specific abilities set in action when students resolve math problems. Such abilities are: analyzing the problem, identifying and laying out strategies, applying algorithms and revising the process that leads to the solution. The module presents problems solved by the teacher (modelling strategies) and uses the work of peers in order to consolidate and evaluate the work. The study uses a quasi experimental design with two pre defined groups, pre and post test. The sample was not probabilistic and was formed by 70 students. A test with 10 math problems was used as the instrument meant for the students to use the four strategies suggested in the module. Results show a difference in favor of the experimental group, which allows us to conclude that the module has an influence in the evaluated abilities.

The digital age has increased the need for technological skills in students, posing challenges for educational institutions. Education requires a shift in pedagogical approaches, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, which accelerated social isolation and expanded the need to master digital environments within educational communities. This context has strengthened computational thinking (CT) as an effective strategy, adopted in the MIT-Harvard model since 2012, which has a clearly established theoretical framework. The purpose of this research was to assess the level of development of computational thinking competencies aimed at problem-solving. To achieve this, a quantitative study with a non-experimental cross-sectional design was conducted, examining the relationship between three dimensions of computational thinking: conceptual, practical, and perspectival, and their impact on the ...

The analysis of the mathematical performance of the students favors the adjustment and individualization of the educational processes for this area of learning. Due to its relevance in daily life, the teacher must bear in mind the functionality and transfer of mathematical learning. The generalization of research that combines theory and practice is essential. In this sense, there are few studies at the curriculum level for mathematics related to the education of gifted and/or mathematically talented students. Thus, it becomes pertinent to analyze such mathematical skills and the factors in which these students stand out. The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of mathematical reasoning and representations based on problem-solving tasks expressed by gifted students on an educational level with a good performance in the area of Mathematics. Forty-two students were evaluated as g...

An important part of the development of process engineering is the calculation of the material balance, which is often very time consuming, especially when dealing with complex problems, because it involves analyzing a population of input variables and multiple simultaneous equations. This article presents a solution methodology through a computer program to facilitate calculations.

It is based on dialogue as a method between teacher and student where bothinteract to understand and solve problems related to real situations of natural andsocial environment, and in a new stage characterized by system research, and thesupport of Trans disciplinary theories that help us understand the complexity ofthings. We also touch mechanics of dialogue and logical structure that sustains. Finally, it is raised with the implications from a set of biblical proverbs that enrichthe efficiency of dialogue as a method to formulate equations or relationships toinvolve all the conditions of the problem

The aim of this study is to identify the criteria that the industrial engineer or manager as decision maker, applied to solve problems, for which you design the conceptual model approach to soft systems methodology and experimental design to validate the influence of criterion in the choice of the manager or decisor maker. Within the rational framework used in the management of organizations, the industrial engineer try to identify the criteria, as decision maker, applied to choose among options, and resolve problem situations of the various scenarios in which it operates and holds roles. The enterprise considers four types of decisional macrocriteria, related to the stage and the decision maker's perspective, they may include: a) Position, based on human nature, b) Optimization based on the achievement and action in the world real, c) Satisfaction, based on social regulation and behavio...

The current approach to deal with unwanted situations is to make decisions based on concepts and pre-defined paradigms, this “solves” an aspect of the problem, but creates failures in other aspects which become even more serious problems than the original. The resolution of problems is handled in a strategic level, it requires a change of approach to face reality. For this, apply a tool that incorporates in a matrix array for solving complex problems, it is constructed by two Cartesian axes that define four dimensions and four analysis fields. This tool allows analyzed together, the perspective of the decision maker in relation to his environment decision.

In this article, the Design Thinking technique will be used to solve and evaluate the problem of the selection of software quality metrics, considering some techniques for the collection of ideas that can support the development of a solution purpose to the problem that in this case is the quality assurance based on the evaluation metrics defined in the current known standards. All this is possible thanks to the support of web tools that provide templates to cover the phases of Design Thinking. The details of the phases are also made starting with the Empathizing phase followed by Define, Devise, Prototype, Test and finally arriving at the results and conclusions found after the whole design thinking process. The results are expected to help build quality software and be used in a real project and in its different stages making the software successful in the market.

The present work develops the Finite Element Method (FEM) as a program written in MATLAB code and its application for the numerical simulation of waveguides. The Helmholtz equationdiferential is determined by solving as the generalized eigenvalue problem and with MATLAB is simples. The numerical results is compared with the solution analitical of the rectangular waveguides, we obtained good results.

This work shows the relationship between the development of mathematical thinking and creativity with mathematical problem posing and solving. Creativity and mathematics are disciplines that do not usually appear together. Both concepts constitute complex processes sharing elements, such as fluency (number of ideas), flexibility (range of ideas), novelty (unique idea) and elaboration (idea development). These factors contribute, among others, to the fact that schoolchildren are competent in mathematics. The problem solving and posing are a very powerful evaluation tool that shows the mathematical reasoning and creative level of a person. Creativity is part of the mathematics education and is a necessary ingredient to perform mathematical assignments. This contribution presents some important research works about problem posing and solving related to the development of mathematical knowle...
