Pinch analysis is applied to reduce energy and water consumption in the process of fuel ethanol production so the technical, economic and environmental feasibility is demonstrated. The consumption of heat, water and total cost of process is reduced to 50, 40 and 25% respectively.

In this research the problem is the generation of wastage in the home dispatch (HD) process and in the reverse logistics of a retail sector company, so its main objective will be to reduce them. The DMAIC methodology was used for process improvement. The engineering tools used correspond to Lean Six Sigma such as process standardization and Poka Yoke. After simulating the improvement proposal with the Arena software, the main results obtained were, at 95% confidence, the reduction in the number of reentries, wastage, and absenteeism, as evidenced by the decrease in the confidence interval limits. Taking the Peru a leadership in the production of metals in the world, the world’s largest producer of silver, the second of copper and zinc, and the sixth in gold, it is necessary to develop intensive metallurgical research to give greater technological value to our concentrates. In the framework of clean technologies direct reduction of sulphides is of interest in metallurgical processes for obtaining base metal. In this investigation shows results of the kinetics of direct reduction of the chalcopyrite of complex marañón with coal in the presence of dolomite as an opportunity to produce copper from a sulphide avoiding air pollution. We studied the effect of the variables involved in the reduction carbotermica: Temperature, reasons molars of reactants, being kinetic model that we describe the phenomenology of reduction process of the chalcopyrite.

In Peru, according to the definition of the National Institute of Statistics and Data Processing (INEI, 2023), an individual in considered to be living in poverty if their monthly income is below PEN 415. Poverty decreased considerably from 2011 to 2019. However, after the COVID-19 pandemic, it has significantly increased, to the detriment of all progress made in the previous decade. Even though social welfare programs are a good option to fight poverty, it is necessary for these programs to complement their strategy with financial literacy to improve their effectiveness. The government that took office in Colombia in August 2010 undertook a radical shift in labor market policy. The reasons for these changes are to be found, in large part, in the policy priorities set by the government that preceded it. It placed great emphasis on stimulating domestic and foreign investment, mainly through general tax exemptions and especially for the acquisition of capital assets. At the same time, the monthly social security contributions of workers increased significantly, with the aggravating factor that the tax component of these contributions also increased. Finally, the minimum wage grew gradually but steadily. In the broader macroeconomic context, the process of revaluation of the national currency, which has been going on for a decade, should be highlighted.

This paper proposes the design of a quasi-experimental time-series model comprising lean manufacturing tools—such as the value stream mapping and 5S's—with the aim of reducing the level of waste and losses in a micro-company dedicated to the production of Alpaca wool clothing in Junín, Perú. The model implementation managed to reduce the level of waste by 7%, increase the efficiency in material consumption, and reduce the cycle time and total supply time. The implementation of the model allowed reducing the level of waste in the production process and creating an organizational culture based on order, cleanliness, discipline, and teamwork.

Public Budgeting Program 068 (PP068 by its Spanish initials) is part of the National System for Disaster Risk Management financial strategy and is linked to disaster risk management processes—among them, the processes of Reactive Management (GR by its Spanish initials). It enables articulated interventions between entities from the three government levels to reduce the vulnerability of the population and their means of living.
