The objective of this research is to determine the criterion validity of the Test of the person in the rain in a sample of university students from a private university in North Lima, since the research does not involve manipulation of variables but the observation of information about the psychometric properties of the test (TPBLL), at a specific and unique moment. The research is non experimental-transversal, in a sample of 256 students, the areas of the SISCO Academic Stress Inventory were correlated with the stress indicators of the TPBLL proposed by Willis, Joy and Kaiser (2010) and the quantitative scale of the TPBLL of Moro, Lema and Longo (2003). To carry out this validity, the Stress Symptoms indicator of the person under rain test was analyzed, together with the Stress symptom indicator of the SISCO test, where a Pearson correlation was made, where it was found that both indica...

Andrés Alencastre Gutiérrez (1909-1984), a bilingual writer known as Kilku Warak’a, is considered one of the most important poets of the Quechua language. I approach his biography, his written production, and his poetry written in Quechua. I review the notion of harawi for the analysis of the poem collection Yawar Para (Rain of blood). Arguedas pointed out that the poetry of Alencastre expresses a sensitivity mediated by the “Indian pain” and the “Mestizo anguish”, but his interpretation omits data he knew, such as his position as landowner and promoter of a learned Quechua (Qhapaq Simi). I conclude that the harawi of Alencastre can be defined as singular, distanced from the real needs and experiences of the runa.

The investigation was carried out in the Huancané basin. The objective of the present work is the determination of the efficient method to calculate the potential evapotranspiration for a Rain-Runoff Model in the Huancané Basin - Puno region. The data used were from seven meteorological stations from periods 1964 to 2016 registered by the SENAMHI institution. To determine the most efficient method, nine potential evapotranspiration methods were proposed (tank type "A", Penman Monteith, Thornthwaite and Wilm, Hargreaves based on Temperature and Radiation, Oudin, Blaney and Criddle, Turc and Jensen - Haise), with different input variables: average temperature, minimum temperature, maximum temperature, wind speed, relative humidity, evaporation and hours of sunshine, for which it was carried out hydrological modeling with the nine methods of ETP. With the hydrological model GR2M that has ...

The objective of this study is to determine the influence of socio-ecological relationships on the risk of pluvial flooding in the urban area of Puquio district. For this, the socio-ecological characterization of the local system was first carried out, which includes the identification and assessment of its relationships, then the risk of pluvial flooding was calculated through the hierarchical analysis process (Saaty, 1980), and finally, Spearman's correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation between the variables. The results establish that there is a moderate negative correlation of -0.554 between the variables, which indicates that in the areas of greatest economic growth and social development, neighborhoods of Ccayao and Pichccachuri, a moderate level of risk predominates, while in the areas of less development, neighborhoods of Chaupi and Ccollana, a high risk level...

Landslides, triggered by heavy rains, constitute globally impactful natural disasters that wreak havoc on both people and infrastructure. It is crucial to develop predictive systems and efficient alerts, incorporating technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) to gather environmental data and prevent significant losses. Therefore, the aim of the study was to design and develop an early warning system for landslides using a microcontroller-based wireless sensor network. A digital rocker rain gauge and the MPU 6050, DHT22 and FC-28 sensors were employed. These sensors were distributed at nodes along the Quebrada del Diablo in the city of Tacna. The values captured at each node were processed by the DEVKIT V1 NodeMCU-32 development board, based on the ESP32 microcontroller, and transmitted to a central node through a ZigBee mesh network using Digi's XBee3 devices. The central node wa...

The goal of the present paper ís the evaluation of a physical-mathematical technique to estímate the rain rate in the Peruvian north coast during days of extreme rainfall the period considered in this work in april 2002. For this purpose infrared GOES-8 satellíte images have been used. The results show that the used technique produces a good representation of the diurna!varíability of rain; however a seríous deficiency exísts in the daily rain rate estimation. The orography conditions and rapid rain formation during an atmospheric process similar to EL NIÑO one would explaín the cause of the opposing results.

Extreme rains have been observed in the north of Peru, the impact of these rains over the present infrastructure in the cities is important, this due to the high vulnerability of the zone. The events happen mainly in summer. Therefore, fourteen cases of extreme rain have been selected, those that registered during the December and March of 2001 and 2002. In the present research an evaluation of the numerical rain simulation is made in north of Peru. Use a regional model atmospheric call RAMS (Regional Atmosphere Modeling System). It has been implemented in the North zone of Peru using the nesting technique to reduce the resolution. The evaluation of the rain simulation is made measuring the correlation between registered rains and the simulated ones by the model RAMS. The results show a greater correlation for the high river basin, an intermediate value of correlation for the average riv...

This research aims at providing an analysis of the possibilities of reforestation to prevent river overflow. It studies La Leche River, in the stretch or low course located in the Íllimo district, Lambayeque region (Peru). In addition, it provides preliminary information on the conservation status of forest species in the seasonally dry forest, and the threat of flooding due to river overflows, which occurs each year due to heavy rain. In this context, information was collected and processed to identify forest species in the study area and to then select those that -due to their anatomical structure- have more water absorption capacity, in order to mitigate adverse effects that come up when the river overflows.

Between the months of August to November 2011 were conducted 42 semi-structured interviews to assess the hunting of mammals in areas of special purpose (ZUE) and buffer (ZA) National Park Tingo María surveys. The results indicate that 43% of the population practiced hunting as a secondary activity, the main smallholder agriculture. The methodology used for hunting are the "tramperas" while the hunting is often 2-3 times a month. Hunting is more common after the wet season, it is selective and responds to the taste of meat that an economic need. Among the most hunted mammals include agouti Dasyprocta sp. and picuro Cuniculus paca, while animals higher biomass as the peccary Pecari tajacu are rare in the area, so it is recommended to increase the control of hunting of vulnerable species in the villages which are inside and in the vicinity of the Park.
