The aim of this article is to establish the first findings, at Metropolitan Lima level, about the problem of stress and risky eating behaviors and personality in the non-obese university population. One of the most critical stages to reinforce these new habits is during childhood; however, due to the changes that are taking place at contextual and technological level, the university stage is also considered as a critical stage for the human being. Issues such as stress are somehow soothed by certain personality features and by habits acquired during childhood. However, it is important to be able to set up a study to identify more factors that intervene in this problem and, in turn, find prevention methods in order to foster healthy eating behaviors in the students.

Three hundred fifty-seven university records of students reported as undergoing academic problems were studied between Abril 1990 and August 1996. Research was aimed at determining the contributing factors to the problem and also at designing academic support programs and psychopedagogical support actions, and others on a preventive basis. Three study areas were selected: intelligence, as assessed through the WAIS test; personality as assessed through both the GuilfordZimmerman Temperament and the MMPI Inventories; and study habit, through Brown’s Study Abilities Survey.

Objective: To describe and analyze the care of the person with mental problems as a challenge of ethics with a holistic nursing approach in a Level III Hospital, in the department of Lambayeque. The author analyzes the problem of the application of life imprisonment in the crime of rape of minors, provided for in Article 173 of the Peruvian Criminal Code. These types have different characteristics, as they target the source dimension (facts and concepts), or the purpose dimension (contemplation or domain). On the basis of these dimensions is presented a tool kit to collect, develop and build personal strengths, arising from the disposition of knowledge itself.
