Objective: To evaluate the incidence of a cost information system in the management of operationsin a MSME for industrial maintenance of electric motors. Method: in this case study, indicatormeasurements are collected based on 179 repair services completed during the 12 periods of2017, which were estimated with the current cost information system and then compared withthose obtained by applying an improved design. Results: It was found that the improved designsignificantly affects the proposed indicators when compared with the current system. Conclusions:The adoption of the improved design could avoid the implementation of wrong policies or rejectservices that could be profitable due to the cross-subsidy found when comparing both systems.

Current piping systems for transportation and distribution of dry natural gas in the Camisea I, project, involve the movement of millions of cubic feet of natural gas daily. Their capacity and operational reliability affect the final consumers. Their adequate operation and performance allows obtaining an efficient use of this resource. The objective of this work is to demonstrate that, through the control of certain operational parameters (specifically, values of pressure and flow of gas consumption in key points of the system), it's possible to get an efficient performance of the net (represented by users fuel consumption of the compressor stations). All of this, assumes free access of the users, and complying with contractual conditions among the members that conform the value chain of gas market.

This study was performed in an agro-industrial milling company with the aim of reducing operative costs over the production and manteinance areas. The company's data was obtained through an interview and documentary analysis. Initial diagnosis was made using the following methods: SWOT analysis, Porter's five forces, PESTLE analysis, IFE and EFE Matrix, Ishikawa diagram and Pareto chart. An improvement plan was designed including tools related to Production Management and Manteinance Management: Demand Forecasting, MRP, Preventing Manteinance Plan, Transport network optimization, SRM and Process Standarizing. This research presents the benefits of using telemetry in the operations management of a high-production open-pit mine located in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Caterpillar’s telemetry systems called Vital Information Monitoring System (VIMS) were used to monitor trucks via input device signals (sensors and switches), providing action alert messages for the operator through a visor in the cockpit. The processes that will be subject to control are: fuel supply, load imbalance, access conditions, and temperature of the brake cooling system. An interface was developed with the IntelliMine (Modular Mining Systems) fleet management system for mining operations management. A system that identifies the type of problem was implemented, as well as the most efficient means for its resolution and localization in real time.

En los últimos años en el Perú se ha dado mucho énfasis en el tema de conservación vial, pero este no se está desarrollando adecuadamente por falta de una buena gestión, lo cual hace que las vías tengan que pasar por un estado de deterioro excesivo, generando a largo plazo la rehabilitación o reconstrucción total de la vía, siendo estas últimas muy onerosas para el Estado. El presente trabajo de investigación se ha desarrollado en una empresa de calzados de la ciudad de Trujillo, ha tenido por objetivo principal determinar el impacto de la propuesta de mejora en el área logística y de producción sobre los costos operativos en la empresa en estudio. La presente tesis tiene como objetivo determinar el impacto de la propuesta de mejora sobre los costos operativos en la gestión logística de la empresa SAGAMED. Para llevar a cabo primero se desarrollará un diagnóstico donde se usarán las siguientes herramientas: Diagrama de Ishikawa, Diagrama de Pareto y Matriz de indicadores. Se encontró que las pérdidas generadas anuales en el área de logística son de S/ 16,909.37. Posteriormente se aplicarán la propuesta de mejora con la ayuda de las siguientes herramientas: Codificación, Kardex, ABC, 5’S y Políticas de crédito y cobranza. Preoperative tests are very common in daily clinical practice. However, ordering preoperative tests is not generally based on the best scientific evidence. When preoperative tests are ordered without justification, they may generate false-positive results, cause to repeat or order new tests and consultations, prolong hospital stay, result in problems to the patient (more risks, confusion and anxiety), and increase costs. A systematic review and cost-effectiveness analysis of preoperative tests for the most frequent low- and intermediate-risk non-cardiac elective surgeries performed at the Hospital Regional Lambayeque were conducted. According to the cost-effectiveness analysis, the annual cost of unnecessary preoperative tests amounts to S/ 62,778.00. This work was prepared to develop an improvement proposal for Bermanlab logistics area through the application of engineering tools to reduce operational costs. In the first place, the existing problems in the area were identified, an Ishikawa diagram was used for the diagnosis where the causes of these problems are exposed. It was proposed to use the Kardex tools, 5S and the EOQ model for the solution. Which can reduce operating costs by S /. 9,368.16. Finally, an economic evaluation was carried out, which would have a VAN of S /. 11,987.15, an TIR of 92.95% and a B / C of S /. 2.45, concluding that the proposal would be profitable.

El presente proyecto de investigación consiste en mejorar y reducir los costos operativos por mantenimientos correctivos (fallas presentadas en los comprensores), siendo el objetivo principal de este trabajo apuntar hacia el mantenimiento preventivo, como parte de una adecuada implementación, demostrando los beneficios económicos que también se generan a partir de la prevención. Como muestra de 20 artículos y/o publicaciones que comprenden desde el año 1960 a 2016, de los cuales se excluyeron 04 artículos, quedando como artículos seleccionado 16. Los resultados obtenidos nos permiten reconocer que la implementación de un Programa Mantenimiento Preventivo podría mejorar la vida útil de nuestros equipos (Comprensores) y reducir los costos operativos. Así mismo se elaborará el estudio de costo-beneficio para evaluar la factibilidad del proyecto presentado. .
