This article addresses the problem of the moral wrong present in rape. To do so, it undertakes an analysis of John Gardner's proposal on the subject. Then, identifying what Gardner calls a pure case of rape, it explores the nature and characteristics of consent as a normative transformer. To this end, it addresses the discussion, within the philosophy of action, on what is the ontology of consent. Finally, and as a consequence of holding that consent is a mental state, some problems related to the knowledge of other people’s mental states, traditionally addressed as the problem of other minds in the philosophy of mind, are raised. Some consequences for the evidentiary analysis in cases of rape crimes are drawn from this analysis.

This article offers an approach to the construction of gender violence as a public problem in Peru. To this end, we examine the development of Peruvian State institutionality oriented toward guaranteeing women's rights since the 1990s. We will identify the consensus and dissent among actors who participated in the construction of gender violence as a public problem in Peru, as well as their influences on the development of the institutional framework to address it. For this purpose, we draw on the conceptual contributions of the so-called sociology of public problems and gender theory. The study methodology includes case study analysis, deepening into the parliamentary debate on feminicide.

Advances in science and technology are rapidly transforming many aspects of human life. In this context, the author argues that the law must act as a "bridge" between these advances and the values that society has privileged. Advances such as artificial insemination and extrauterine or in vitro fertilisation, which are emerging as alternatives for people who cannot conceive naturally, raise a number of ethical and legal challenges. This article analyses this issue from a legal perspective, without losing sight of the prevailing values of society. This article first analyzed the influence of religious spiritualism in Peruvian education, from before independence to the present. Educational humanism was later defined as a philosophy that seeks the integral formation of the human being in academic and moral aspects. It was then argued that the concept of "spirit" as a representation of the human essence is a fiction that hinders the development of moral and academic competencies, in addition to hindering interculturality due to the dogmatic influence of Catholicism. This article describes the construction and validation of the “Scale of Social Problems in Chile”. The scale was developed considering the main social issues at a national and municipal level. The instrument was validated using quantitative methodology, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The participants were 456 residents of the Valparaíso municipality, Chile. Cases were selected using quota sampling to reflect the demographic composition of the region in terms of the sex and age groups found in the municipality. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) V24.0, while confirmatory factor analysis was performed with R console and the Rcmdr interface. These analyses made it possible to establish that the factor structure of the scale differentiates national problems from local ones.

The World Health Organization defines smoking as a chronic addictive disease widespread worldwide. It represents one of the greatest threats to public health, affecting children, youth and adults. It is estimated, that there are 1.300 million smokers in the world and about 80% of these live in countries where there is a high rate of morbidity and mortality associated with tobacco mainly in adult consumers. In particular, the consumption of tobacco among young university students is evident and worrisome. Different authors in the world have raised factors for tobacco use among adolescents and young adults. Such studies argue that the habit of smoking usually begins during adolescence and consolidates in the university stage. Smoking in parents, relatives, and friends is a factor, perhaps the most remarkable, which is associated with the acquisition of smoking as a habit.

This article deals with the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in the development of the emotional intelligence of first-semester students in a private university in Lima. To achieve this purpose, an applied research was carried out, using the experimental method (quasi-experimental design), given that the independent variable (PBL) will be manipulated so that it produces an effect on the dependent variable (Emotional Intelligence), which will be measured. To do this, a sample of 48 students was taken, it was divided into two groups: one of control (24) and the other one experimental (24) of a total population of 1281 freshmen. The concept of reproductive cloning refers to the possibility of being able to have offspring through the use oftechnology, with the exception that it is our own genes that are used to carry it out.The problem faced by this typeof assisted reproduction technique is that of morality or immorality. In order to better elucidate whether it is viableor not, a general analysis will be made from the utilitarian perspective.
