Th e investigation presents a malacological survey in heights of Sierra Morena, Corralillo, Villa Clara, Cuba. A total of 69 samples were collected from October 2015 until June 2016, georeferenced in a map (1:10000) and processed with numeric classifi cation techniques. A total of 26 species were identifi ed. Of the 26 species, one is endemic to the area and another is new to science. Established methodology was used for the collection of mollusks. Th ree species collected in the study area constitute potential vectors of organism pathogens to humans. It was possible to correlate the distribution of this species with the anthropogenic landscape, based on that information a potential protected area is proposed. Th e results of this study are useful to develop activities geared to environmental education.

Invasive species are animals, plants, or other organisms transported and introduced by humans in places outside their natural distribution area and that have managed to establish and disperse in the new region, where they are harmful. The objective of the research was aimed to propose a system of workshops to contribute to the knowledge of Invasive Exotic Species (IES), and their undesirable effects on vulnerable Cuban ecosystems and in particular on the bird species Molothrus bonariensis (Gmelin, 1789), 8th-graduate students of the Basic Urban Secondary School "Fe del Valle". La investigación presenta una encuesta malacológica terrestre de las Alturas de Sierra Morena, Corralillo, Villa Clara, Cuba. Se tomaron un total de 69 muestras desde octubre de 2015 hasta junio de 2016, las cuales fueron enmarcadas en un mapa de 1:10 000 y procesadas con técnicas de clasifi cación numérica. Se determinó la artropofauna cavernícola en una cueva de calor de la Reserva Ecológica «Mogotes de Jumagua», en el Municipio Sagua la Grande, provincia Villa Clara, Cuba. La artropofauna fue colectada o utilizando los métodos convencionales. Methods associated with socio-cultural research were combined with methods and techniques used in laboratory and field work. An ecological study was carried out with the objective of evaluation of the ornithocenosis present in "Monte Ramonal" in the municipality of Santo Domingo, Villa Clara province, Cuba between December 2017 and April 2018. The plant formation where the studies were carried out was the semideciduous mesophilic forest, on a poorly drained soil. For the avifauna counts, a transect of approximately 800 meters long was taken. Given the characteristics of the vegetation, the area analyzed was 11,200m2 (approximately one hectare). We determined the systematic structure, guilds, species richness, similarity, dissimilarity, diversity, and fairness. En esta investigación se realiza una evaluación de la ornitocenosis presente en “Monte Ramonal”, municipio de Santo Domingo, provincia Villa Clara, Cuba, en los meses de diciembre de 2017 y abril de 2018 respectivamente.
