The objective of the research was to determine the Impact of Public Investment projects on improving the living conditions of the population of the district of Marías - Huánuco 2007-2015. This article focuses on some of the most important constitutional and legal provisions that regulate the performing of mining activities in Peru, as a premise to analyze how the discussion about economic development and environmental protection has been misunderstood, and how it has become in one of the main causes of social conflicts in this sector. For this purpose, two remarkable and recent judgments enacted by the Mining Council of the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru will be reviewed in order to confirm the need to redefine the role of the Government on encouraging the private investment in this extractive activity.

This article reflects the learning process carried out within the framework of an environmental education and educational intervention project, using the Project Work Methodology (MTP), conducted in the context of preschool education in Portugal. Following a qualitative paradigm, the study aims to analyze how children develop skills through the MTP. The approach respected children’s individual needs, fostering critical and creative thinking. The educational intentions constructed during the intervention led to the promotion of different types of learning among the children. The recorded evidence reveals benefits in their holistic development, confirming the formative potential of the project methodology.

This study analyzes through a qualitative study of 4 focus groups (n=13) the meanings and effects of volunteering reported by volunteers of the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games and the Special Legacy Project. On a personal level, positive emotions are reported, linked to the awareness of having been part of historic events, as well as experiences of personal and interpersonal growth. From the social point of view, favorable effects are reported for the construction of a sense of community, civic awareness and national pride. In the institutional framework, organizational and management aspects are identified that favor favorable conditions for the development of volunteer experiences that generate positive effects both personally and socially.

It is not difficult to identify the monetary costs derived from the execution of a major infrastructure project. That is why, when these projects fail to produce the expected results, they are labeled as ‘white elephants’: due to their high costs and low benefits. Objective. To analyze the way in which municipal administration is related to the quality of public service in Provincial Municipality of Tingo Maria, 2019. Methods. The research level was relational, while the non-experimental design was cross-sectional. An opinion questionnaire was applied to know the behavior of the study variables in the users of said municipality. Results. The evaluation of municipal administration yielded a result of 35% "fair", 23% "good", 18% "excellent", 17% "bad" and 8% "lousy". For its part, the quality of the public service yielded a result of 31% "fair", 25% "good", 20% "bad", 14% "terrible" and 11% "excellent". This work verifies the instrumental characteristics of the CCD detector which is part of the UNI astronomical observatory. We measured the linearity of the CCD detector of the SBIG STXL6303E camera, along with the associated gain and readout noise. The linear response to the incident light of the detector is extremely linear (R2 =99.99%), its effective gain is 1.65 ± 0.01 e-/ADU and its readout noise is 12.2 e-. These values are in agreement with the manufacturer. We confirm that this detector is extremely precise to make measurements for astronomical purposes.
