While it is true that vaccines generate immunity with a high degree of effectiveness and that in Peru, a certain time was spent initiating the COVID-19 disease, a vaccination process that was developed logistically. The objective was to obtain the mathematical model of the COVID-19 vaccination process in Peru, to estimate the number of people vaccinated, the critical time for which the estimated rate of vaccinated people has been the highest value, and to specify the date on which the highest number of people vaccinated has occurred.   In current supply chains, the use of AIDC technologies allows the information that flows to be standardized and reliable, as well as obtaining a series of advantages related to saving time and costs. In Cuba, the use of these technologies is not regulated by national laws and most companies do not use them, considering ignorance of their effectiveness as the cause. This article analyzes AIDC technologies: specifically, bar code systems and radio frequency systems, their operation and benefits of their use in supply chains. Based on the existing need, a tool was designed based on a procedure that establishes a guide for the selection of technologies to be implemented in logistics processes. The tool designed is used for Case Studies to know its application and mode of use.

Distribution centers are quite sensitive areas to produce failures due to human mistakes through the picking process. As a result, it impacts enormously the level of service and organization’s goals. The object of study is a drugstore whose number of orders is very high and the number of handled products too. Solution is given as a tool that applies Business Process Management (BPM) and provides characterization of organizational processes, the current picking process diagram (AS-IS) and the improved diagram (TO-BE) which enhances the process adding a new control point. Besides, in this paper BPMN notation was applied correctly in each diagram.

The main warehouse of a hydroelectric plant is crucial for managing the spare parts necessary for equipment maintenance. However, its inefficient use can generate costs and decrease logistical efficiency. To improve this situation, solutions based on engineering tools such as SLP, 5S, and Slotting were proposed. The pilot implementation showed an 89% increase in the utilization of storage space indicator (UCA), a 40.73% reduction in lead time, and a 10.18% decrease in inventory level. These tools had a significant impact on space optimization, reduction in search times, improvement in inventory management, and reduction in operating costs. Consequently, they improved efficiency, profitability, and satisfaction in the logistical management of the hydroelectric plant.

This research aims to contribute to find a new alternative for the cargo consolidation process at Nexa Resources Cajamarquilla. En este trabajo, se describe la propuesta de mejora para una empresa del sector logístico, la cual brinda servicios de almacenamiento y distribución. Se analizó el caso de la empresa en el área de almacenamiento, donde se tiene el problema de bajo nivel de servicio relacionado a los procesos de Inbound, Picking y Outbound.
