In this paper we are going to develop an unpublished argument of William Thurston that shows the existence of hyperbolic groups with no non-trivial representations to linear groups over any ring, for a given dimension. His approach studies the space of representations of any non-elementary hyperbolic group G to conclude that there is a hyperbolic quotient with such property.

Our environment has changed. We live in a real and virtual society, where new Information and Communications Technology (ICT) offers us various possibilities of information generation and transmission, getting through geographical and cultural barriers and crossing the world in record time. The digital revolution is not over and the media ecosystem as a consequence has not stabilized yet. The increasing use of media and ICT has put traditional media in crisis within the transformation of the Advertising industry context and the alternative funding and business practices. Therefore, this article presents a critical analysis on Advertising and the new narratives, trying to find adequate bibliographical support to study the path from linearity to transmediality.

In this work we will analyze the stability of linear systems governed by a Markov chain, this family is known in the specialized literature as linear systems with Markov jumps or by its acronyms in English MJLS as it is denoted in [1]. Linear systems governed by a Markov chain are dynamic systems with abrupt changes. We give some denitions of stability for the MJLS system, where these types of stability are equivalent as long as the state space of the Markov chain is finite. Finally we present a theorem that characterizes the stochastic stability by means of an equation of the Lyapunov type. The result is a generalization of a theorem in classical theory.

This article presents an overview of the problem of identifying linear and nonlinear systems (Wiener type) operating in open loop. There are several algorithms that solve this problem, among them are the subspace methods (MOESP and N4SID). In order to evaluate the performance of the MOESP and N4SID methods, a simulated example is presented to compare the performance of these algorithms.

The concept of eigenvalues is associated with the linearity one, through the structure of vectorial space. The multiplicative linear algebra is a structure in which an expression such as x^3y^2 can be considered a linear combination of variables x and y. This article is reserved to show the corresponding analogues for an Eigenvalue Theory. We exemplify its applications by introducing a connection with the analysis of a nonlinear dynamical system in the standard sense, although a linear recurrence in the multiplicative one.

In this paper we consider the nonlinear transmission problem for the wave equation with time dependent coefficients and linear internal damping. We prove global existence and exponential decay of solution. The result is achieved by considering energy like - Lyapunov functionals and suitable unique continuation theorem for the wave equation.

Currently, streaming music services have become one of the main means of music consumption around the world. Spotify offers music streaming services and covers more than thirty million songs. Every year there is an increase in the production of songs so it is more difficult for a song to establish itself as a hit in the market. The objective of this work was to apply the Linear Regression modeling technique to find a trend of the data set on the popularity index of songs on the Spotify platform, in this way predict a result with new data that enters. A quantitative methodology was applied based on measurable data that were taken as datasets. As a result, a mean square error of 94.79 and a variance of 0.20 were obtained. The conclusion of the work is that the dataset used was not the ideal according to our objective.

In the present’s paper studying a strategy for a typo of convex problem, we treat a linear programming problem whose coefficient of decision variables in the objective function has a nonlinear behavior. When the coefficients are constant the Simplex Method solves these problems without much difficulty, but when the coefficients are no longer constant and the Simplex does not work. We propose a technique that exploits the convex behavior of these coefficients and uses the theory of approximation by piecewise linear functions.

A Virtual Lab to study the Transition to Chaos in second order non-linear differential equations has been developed and successfully applied to the search for chaotic behavior in the damped and forced non-linear oscillator. This simulation and visualization software evaluates the equation under investigation at up to one million time-steps, generating in real-time and on the screen, plots like amplitude of oscillation, phase diagram, amplitude oscillation peaks and an animation of an oscillator governed by the problem equation. In this way the investigator not only gets important behavior graphs but he or she also gets a physical visualization of the system under investigation. Visualizing an animation

This project aims to develop a performance evaluation model that serves as an application guide for companies with both linear and matrix structures. The project will primarily be conducted in three stages. The initial stage involves an analysis of organizational structures and an examination of various performance evaluation models and frameworks. Subsequently, in the second stage of the project, based on the findings from the analysis stage, the model proposal will be developed. Finally, in the third stage, validation will be carried out with experts to assess the feasibility of the proposal.
