The article develops the relationship between the concepts of territorial planning and urban planning in order to study the future perspectives of this field after the Urban Reform of 2021. Based on this, we consider the specific context of Lima where it has been approved the Metropolitan Development Plan to 2040 y the Urban Development Plans are in the making, so as to state how it is possible to concretize the main objectives of the Urban Reform of 2021 through a zoning regulation – the normative element of the urban plans. With that in mind, we set the structure of a proposal of zoning regulation, including the principles, approaches, guidelines and criteria for interpretation; the division of the territory; zoning and compatibilities; urban and building parameters; and land value capture instruments.

Fires have become a recurrent menace to wetlands of the central coast of Peru. However, the scientific knowledge of its impacts is scarce and does not allow adequate prevention measures. This study evaluated the current state of knowledge of fires recorded for wetland Los Pantanos de Villa Wildlife Refuge, as well as the species affected by these events. In the last ten years, four fires have impacted the Pantanos de Villa, affecting 3.51% of the surface of the wetland. The rushes were the plant community most impacted by the fires. We identified 34 species frequently affected by these disturbances, 12 belonging to flora and 22 to fauna, including vulnerable species as well as species new to science. These data show the need to strengthen scientific studies that quantify the effects of fire on the tropical coastal wetland. Finally, we discuss the problem of recurrent fires in this protec...

When a debate revolves around the digital transition of Latin America, it is a mayor challenge to establish a real period of time for its solidification. This emptiness and far away feeling isn’t different when boarding the subject in the Venezuelan reality, since there are almost no strategies for the development of a digital development in a communications oriented field, especially in the audiovisual field, were external factors can be considered in the same manner as the uniqueness and challenges of the country in this process, witch will clearly show how our countries works, waiting for the last moment to confront an even more tangible reality and with an even more variety of challenges that must be taken with seriousness and a glocal perspective.

Focusing on our future is often associated with well-being, benefiting both the individual and society. However, the literature suggests that this relationship is not always consistent. Moreover, while this relationship has been studied in Lima from a subjective well-being perspective, it has not yet been explored using a psychological well-being framework. This study explores this relationship using Seigner’s, Nurmi, and Poole’s ‘Future Orientation’ and Diener et. al.’s ‘Flourishing’ constructs. Using data from 445 students from a Lima university (mean age=21.80; 64.27% females) and structural equation models, our results suggest that having a sense of internal control over one’s future career (b=.29, SE=.24, p<.01), approaching one’s future career with hope (b=.27, SE=.14, p<.01), and being optimistic about the realization of future family plans (b=.27, SE=.13, ...

This article analyses how the concept of citizenship is addressed in 15 Peruvian cybermedia platforms and how Internet users use this term on the basis of the information published, in order to know the semantic coincidences and differences in media and public agendas. This research was carried out using a mixed method which combines the classical analysis of news’ content, computer analysis of users’ comments and interviews. Among findings validated by media journalists, the little attention paid by platforms to citizens is highlighted, as well as the divergence between the approaches of the senders and users. Some solutions to the abovementioned misunderstanding in this field of unquestionable public interest that affects both public debate and the development of citizens who are aware of their roles in society are proposed.
