Throughout its vital cycle the family is exposed to critical situations which menace its stability. Handling and outcoming this crisis depend on a series of factors which form the family CONTEXT (parents personal data, influence of source families, personality, instruction, etc.). Critical situations must not be assumed as negative ones but as circumstance that give people the opportunity to discover or rediscover their resource ad adaptation ability. A systemic perspective for a School of normal parents with deaf children is presented.

The purpose of this paper is to help build bridges of dialogue between the cultural sector and the tourism sector, or more specifically, between professionals and institutions responsible for the conservation and management of cultural heritage, and professionals and institutions responsible for tourism management. To this end, it seeks to demonstrate the importance that the World Tourism Organization grants to cultural heritage, not only as a tourist resource, but also as a fundamental element for the identity of communities and for the achievement of a sustainable development, in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. To attain this, we use various sources, documents and reports that show this particular perspective from the field of tourism.

Health literacy is associated with better health outcomes. Primary care professionals generally provide most of the care to patients and are also often the first point of contact for patients within a health system. This article discusses four strategies to promote health literacy in the primary care setting: 1) Improve the clinician’s communication skills, 2) Use e-Health tools, 3) Promote patient self-care, and 4) Develop support systems and care environments. These strategies are discussed in the context of the realities of low and middle income countries, as in the case of Peru.

The “ideology” notion has been decontextualized from its critical function to be employed as a discrediting maneuver that disregards debate. This article posits ideological analysis within the basic idea of a critical theory to point out the problems inherent to its dependency to the modern subjectivity paradigm. Afterdiscussing two attempts to preserve some form of ideological analysis by means ofa reconsideration of the aesthetical, we claim the pertinence of a communicationalinterpretation of the critic, ideology and aesthetics notions, which refers them to its founding and normative dimension in the very constitution of the self and its community.

How to approach higher education for training in applied research in a "change of epoch" where knowledge has become a substantial asset to the generation of value in goods and services in organizations? What strategy should be implemented when its efficiency tends to be measured through mechanisms external to the research areas of the university? Two questions that allow, on the one hand, going the traditional way in which the university reiterates trivial mechanisms for engineering research training, and, on the other, the holistic -systemic-cybernetic- approach that promotes this same training in the context of complexity. This paper reviews the experience in the field of engineering, emphasizing the educational strategy aimed at achieving an insight of knowledge, where the university is facing increasing difficulty in setting the direction of the areas of applied research in engineeri...

Globally, the main causes of mortality and disability are associated with non-communicable chronic diseases (NCDs), and unhealthy lifestyle are a modifiable risk factor for acquiring these diseases. Adherence to a healthy lifestyle can prevent, treat, and reverse, with a lower cost and greater long-term benefit, the effects of NCDs. Lifestyle Medicine (LM) is a discipline focused on healthy lifestyle, which has been positioning itself in the reality and its introduction into undergraduate medical training, postgraduate training, and continuing medical education is already taking place mainly in the United States of America and Europe. A review of the databases PubMed/Medline, Web of Science, Scopus and Google Scholar was carried out, with the purpose of documenting a perspective of what the LM is, its effects, forms of application and recent results of its implementation in the health. L...

Anales de la Facultad de Medicina appeared as the School of Medicine journal 97 years ago, and following some years of absence, has been published both physically and virtually for the past 20 years. The important indizations obtained is a challenge to consider publishing in the near future all articles in English language, increasing the journal periodicity to every two months, implement a multinational Advisory Committee, and to increase the finantial support to Anales.

The purpose of the present article is to make a critical analysis to the dominant classic epidemiological positionthat explains health-disease duality from genetics and lifestyles. It talks about how political, economic, cultural, environmental and demographic structure are strongly influenced by the social determinant of health, related tosanitary inequities, which may pose barriers to the adoption of healthy lifestyles, especially to people in extremepoverty, armed conflict, disasters and other hard conditions, which are prevailing circumstances in low andmiddle income countries. It discusses the need to transcend the paradigm of health education which is highlyprescriptive and does not offer the expected results. The research is documentary, and was based on a journalisticliterature review. It concludes that it is necessary to transcend into a holistic paradigm to explain the healthdis...

In the present paper an analysis of the epistemological foundations on which the educational field has been founded since its origin until today is made, in order to understand in depth the current situation of educational research. To this end, a historical-epistemological study is carried out. This study seeks to uncover the justification that, in each moment and context, has founded the said field. This path shows that, at first, historicity (referred to the contextual, non-rational, non-scientific) was deliberately set aside to guarantee the development of a rational science. Later, and due to the persistence of certain epistemological problems, this historicity is understood as a value and becomes the disciplinary foundation. The work argues that the use of historicity as a criterion of justification (either to eliminate it or to use it) is not sufficient criterion to base the field...

The pandemic caused by COVID 19 has accelerated the transition towards an even more digitized economy, and it has further evidenced the need for a new international regulation on a fairer allocation of tax rights for large companies that operate internationally and with a high profiability. While waiting for the recently adopted international agreement within the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on BEPS, to be signed, or a Digital Tax is approved in the European Union, Spain has joined the trend followed by other States, approving the Digital Services Tax. This Tax is being critized for its possible incompatibility with International Tax Law and European Law. In this work, we will analyze the essential elements of this tax, we will identify the main controversial issues that its legal regime raises from international and european law, and we will try to answer to them.

The task of the university professor is a mission and not simply a profession and that is why higher education should be impregnated with values. Nowadays education is articulated into three areas: the State, the Market and the Volunteering, but no one of these three sectors by themselves has covered the needs of all the citizens, there have always been losers, therefore the conjunction of the three sectors became necessary. Communitarianism promotes an ethical-social pact that favors the progress of society without nullifying the individual dimension. It believes that the university is the space where a communitarian consciousness should be promoted to generate a social capital by means of education and it is a privilege place to substantiate the moral identity of the person beginning with the commitment of the professor with the university student.

Future time perspective extension is an individual's perception of the psychological distance between future goals. The concept of extension can be expanded to include how far into the future an individual habitual time space extends and the diffusion of goals within that time space. This alignment and distance may be related to the individual episodic future thinking, the pre-experiencing of future events. Research in FTP and EFT are typically siloed; considering both approaches to future thinking provides not only greater insight into the two constructs but may also provide avenues for developing interventions. Participants in this study (n = 13) were recruited from a scholarship program designed to provide them with financial support as they progress from community college to high-wage careers in science and engineering. Students were transitioning from two-year programs at local comm...

This article reviews the processes of consolidation of the principle of legality and of the criminalisation of crimes against humanity in international criminal law from a historical perspective. It starts with the Nuremberg Tribunal of 1945 and then traces the development of these two processes side-by-side: the enshrinement of the principle of legality in a series of universal treaties protecting human rights between the 1960s and the 1980s and the criminalisation of crimes against humanity in the Statutes for the International Criminal Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and for Rwanda and in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

This article studies abuse from the theoretical psychonal proposal, to understand its causes and prevent it. We review Ferenczi's studies in his famous writing: "Confusion of language between adults and children." In this document it is postulated that the abuse would occur through a type of submission of the child to the aggressor. The concept of identification with the aggressor and the introjection of what is threatening or attacking is developed. All concepts that are developed in this article. Some studies of current psychoanalysts that refer to the works of Ferenczi and Freud are also reviewed. All contribute to understanding the causal factors of mistreatment or abuse. Additionally, we include reflection on the causes of various types of abuse, such as physical, emotional, sexual and gender. All with the assurance that if we understand abuse from its origin and know its causes, th...
