The purpose of the present article is to make a critical analysis to the dominant classic epidemiological positionthat explains health-disease duality from genetics and lifestyles. The global consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPF) has experienced a rapid increase, particularly in developed urban environments. This trend has been associated with a rise in the prevalence of non-communicable diseases, suggesting potential risks to human health. Therefore, the study aimed to analyze trends and models of scientific production related to UPF and public health. To conduct the research, 139 documents were gathered from the Scopus database, using keywords such as "ultra-processed food" and "public health." Data were processed using VosViewer and Bibliometrix software to create cienciometric map networks. It is noteworthy that research has been growing from 2020 to 2023, with a total of 123 published articles. The research aimed to determine potential effects on the introduction of the “octagon” based consumer warning system on the consumption of processed foods that are excessive in nutrients. The research is non-experimental and cross-sectional. The survey was used as a technique, applying a questionnaire to the population aged 15 to 64 from the five most populated districts of the province of Tacna: Colonel Gregorio Albarracín, Tacna, Alto de la Alianza , Ciudad Nueva and Pocollay. Objective. To determine the perception of entomophagy as a healthy foodalternative in Panama. Methods. A non-probabilistic sampling was carriedout, targeting 100 people between 18 and 65 years of age, with an educational level of secondary school or higher, a 1:1 ratio of men and women, residents of urban and peri-urban areas, 44% of whom were public servants. Our objective was to analyze the effect of a regular physical activity program on the verbal and visuospatial episodic memory on mentally healthy elderly Chileans. Participated 74 elderly women without cognitive impairment – divided into an intervention group = 34 elderly women, who carried out physical activity for six months; and a control group = 40 sedentary women. We used the Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT), and the Rey Complex Figure Test (RCFT) for the evaluation of the episodic memory. Analysis were performed inter- and intra-group with t student and d of Cohen to measure the effect size of t-tests. Loneliness and social isolation are factors that increasingly affect many people around the world, and evidence suggests that they are related to cognitive processes deterioration. This article aims to review the available information on the effect of loneliness and social isolation on the cognition of middle-aged adults. A comprehensive structured search was conducted in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science and EBSCO databases. In the first instance, the results of the databases were imported to the Mendeley reference manager, where duplicates were eliminated, to later extract articles relevant to the topic according to the title and abstract. Healthy eating is a key determinant of physical, mental, and social well-being, particularly during adolescence, when dietary habits become consolidated and strongly influence cognitive and academic development. This study aimed to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes, and dietary practices of students in the fourth and fifth grades at the Emblematic Boys’ School “Daniel Hernández”, located in Pampas, Huancavelica (Peru), and to propose strategies to promote healthy eating within the school context. The research followed a quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive–comparative design. Antecedentes: La exposición a grandes altitudes desencadena una serie de cambios fisiológicos que mantienen la homeostasis. Aunque los procesos de aclimatación a largo plazo (días o años) están bien estudiados, se sabe menos sobre los cambios fisiológicos que se producen tras un ascenso rápido. Aprovechamos la geografía del Perú para medir los primeros cambios fisiológicos que se producen tras un rápido transporte desde un entorno de baja a una gran altitud entre los habitantes de las tierras bajas.
