This paper deals with teacher training. Discusses some definitions on this process and also have their particular characteristics, emphasizing one: to be an ongoing activity. The authors argue that teacher training is one of the best indicators to assess the improvement of education and that it also plays an important role in building the identity of teachers. This study aims to know how the training processes of practicing teachers contribute to the construction of beliefs about teaching at the university. Froma qualitative methodology with agrounded theory approach, professors from public and private universities were selected through theoretical sampling. In-depth interviews were conducted to collect data whichwere analytically coded. This research sought to describe the teaching strategies used by teachers in the interaction processes of first grade students in two educational institutions in Lima. The technique used was, in the first place, observation, for which a field notebook and a checklist were used. Second, interviews were applied to teachers. Among the finds, the significance of the strategies employed, such as teamwork, dynamics of integration and assignment of roles in the modes of interaction of first grade students, was evidenced. Likewise, certain predominant attitudes were observed among some students, which evidenced the establishment of both horizontal and vertical interactions.

Teachers´ engagement in change processes is closely related to their attitudes and views on education. Therefore, any successful educational change demands that teachers reevaluate their profession, as personal and professional factors are clearly relevant. The goal of this study is to test a predictive statistical model of teacher´s engagement in educational change considering personality factors and self-evaluation. The random and representative sample of Peruvian teachers comprised of 888 subjects. Results show good model fit and a strong predictive power on educational changes. The study confirms that personality and selfconcept are strong predictors on teacher´s engagement with educational change.

In recent decades, the reflection on the teaching practices has been considered as an important means among the teacher trainers. Nevertheless, chilean research note that the universities of this country have not achieved that students of Teaching Programs may develop reflections on their pedagogical procedures systematically. The main objective of this study was the design and implementation of instruments to evaluate teacher’s performance in a higher education distance unit of a public mexican university. The process consisted of an eight-stage program, based on information generated by interviews, group discussions and document revisions. As a result, three instruments were designed and implemented to collect information from different perspectives: from the student, the supervisor and the evaluated person himself.

This study analyzes the psychometric structure of the CAPE- R scale, which assesses the beliefs about the educational process in rural teachers; explores the teacher´s profile, and analyzes the significant differences between the beliefs according to sociodemographic variables. The sample included 150 rural teachers from Mendoza, Argentina. The exploratory factor analysis yielded a factorial structure made up of four factors that explained a 44.19% of the variance of responses to the test. Internal consistency coefficients ranged from .74 to .85. The data show a predominance of difficulties in the educational process dimension (M=2.83; DE=.69), the only dimension that reached a significant association with the educational level of the classes (F =4.77, p<.05).

Children's clowning promotes learning because it captures children's attention, encouraging their participation. Therefore, the objective of this study was to implement a guide to recreational activities based on clowning in the teaching-learning process in children of Initial Education II of the “Explora Kids” School of the Pujilí Canton - Ecuador.
