The numerical solution of the one-dimensional non-static diffusion equation is proposed, developing an algorithm in software Matlab version 7.0, for which the mimetic finite difference scheme is combined in the approximation of the differential operators of the continuum (gradient and divergence) for the spatialvariable, on a uniform grid, whose discrete differential operators have a second order approximation and the finite difference approach type Crank Nicolson for approximations in the temporary variable.This proposed algorithm for the mimetic and Crank Nicolson approaches has a better approximation than the finite-difference Crank Nicolson-type scheme.In addition, the approximation error generated between the numerical solution and the analytical solution is calculated using the maximum standard for the non-stationary diffusion equation with Robin type boundary conditions.

In this work, a non-parametric and deterministic approach based on multidirectional efficiency analysis (MEA) is presented. The proposed model involves MEA with other important mathematical techniques in data analysis, such as the calculation of the NC value for the analysis of groups with different levels of efficiency. Non-valvular Infective endocarditis (IE) is exceedingly rare; however, its incidence has risen in tandem with the increased usage of intracardiac devices and the growing prevalence of risk factors associated with IE. We present a clinical case involving an 18-year-old patient with IE occurring at an atypical location, concomitant with central venous catheter bloodstream infection. The patient underwent targeted antibiotic therapy but ultimately required surgical resection of the vegetation due to multiple risk factors associated with a poor prognosis. This case underscores the importance of maintaining a low threshold of suspicion for IE and emphasizes the need for heightened vigilance regarding non-valvular tissues hosting foreign bodies. Puntos de contacto en los que convergen (o colisionan) dimensiones institucionales, sociales e ideológicas. Monitoring the evolution of the wound is vital to evaluate the current treatment and determine the need for a different approach. Traditionally, this assessment is based on manual measurements and visual observation, which can be subjective and non-quantitative, leading to uncertainty in patient follow-up. Resilience is understood as the domain of personal resources and contextual factors that allow for a successful coping and enhance positive adaptation to the different stressors during the lifespan, thereby being important for a healthy and successful aging. Nowadays, several brief instruments have been developed to measure resilience, such as the Brief Resilient Coping Scale (BRCS), an instrument that measures the ability of people to confront stress in an adaptive way. In this vein, the study provides evidence of the validity and reliability of the BRCS in non-institutionalized older adults in Peru.
