This article aims to demonstrate that in the novel Fabla salvaje (1923) the grotesque is evidenced as the main resource to allegorize the degradation process of the protagonist: Balta Espinar. It is based primarily on the critical studies proposed by Kayser (1957) and Bajtin (1987), the main theorists of this aesthetic in the 20th century. In this way, it was possible to establish categories such as the mixture of heterogeneous elements, the degradation of environments, animalization, and the dreamlike. Furthermore, it can also be noted that these resources acquire greater relevance when, as the distorted reality advances, there is the possibility of something promising, which could be called an utopian function.

This study focuses on enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) specializing in heavy equipment maintenance. It introduces an innovative model that links the operational efficacy of technical processes to the overall effectiveness of maintenance services. This approach considers all elements of the value chain, including the processes and resources involved at each stage. The research highlights that a gap in the technical development of these processes hinders companies from achieving optimal outcomes due to inconsistency in maintenance methods. To address this challenge, a quantitative study has been conducted to explore the causal relationship between the efficacy of technical processes and the effectiveness of maintenance services. This research study aims to identify strategies that enable companies to improve their performance in this area.

This study is based on the evaluation process of the university public policy of distance education and, specifically, the implementation of the Classroom platform, in its didactic and operational dimensions, at the National Autonomous University of Huanta (UNAH), period 2020, in the context of physical and social isolation, which allowed an accurate analysis to make decisions in this regard. In the field of databases, the lack of traceability of transactions or operations in a database is vital to respond to incidents that may originate within them, such as the alteration of unauthorized information. This article proposes an auditing model to mitigate risk using Oracle's object and transaction auditing approach. Finally, a laboratory was implemented in which the proposed model was deployed, ensuring the information's confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

The response surface methodology was applied to evaluate the optimal experimental conditions to remove persistent organic compounds from a synthetic textile wastewater using a batch photochemical reactor on a laboratory scale. Four factors at three levels were studied: Fenton H2O2/Fe2+ reagent ratio (11,25, 18,75, 26,25 mg/L/mg/L), UV lamp power (4, 11, 18 W), pH (2, 3, 4) and treatment time (60, 120, 180 min). The optimum levels found for the four factors were: ratio of Fenton H2O2/Fe2+ reagents equal to 17 mg/L/mg/L, UV lamp power equal to 4 W, pH equal to 3 and treatment time of 180 min. It was found that the photo- Fenton process is very effective in treating synthetic textile wastewater, with a removal of 86 %, with respect to COD.

The 2016 Ecuador earthquake (Mw 7.8), is part of the sequence of large earthquakes in Ecuador and Colombia: 1906 (8.4 to 8.8 Mw), 1942 (Mw 7.8), 1958 (Mw 7.7), 1979 (Mw 8.2), all these events with a focal mechanism of the thrust fault type. In this research, we have obtain the seismic source distribution (indicating the presence of 2 main asperities), from inversion of teleseismic signals, as well as the parameters of the seismic rupture process: focal mechanism that indicates a type of inverse fault (strike = 25°, dip = 12°, rake = 118°) for a focal depth of 23 km and the source time function indicating a composite event, the duration of the rupture process was around 70 s, assuming an average rupture velocity of 3.0 km/s. Basado en los datos de observación de alta precisión GNSS y el cambio de coordenadas de la estación de monitoreo CORS antes y después del terremoto 8.0 de Perú de 2019, el autor desarrolló el software de análisis de deformación de la superficie basado en el software de procesamiento científico, que tiene valor científico y práctico en la investigación del epicentro del terremoto, magnitud y geodinámica. Se muestran los resultados obtenidos utilizando el software científico de procesamiento GNSS PANDA, un paquete de precisión para el análisis de datos GNSS, desarrollado por la Universidad de Wuhan, China. Los resultados son de alta precisión en el orden de los milímetros. Los resultados obtenidos tienen un desplazamiento de alrededor de 2 cm en las estaciones GNSS cercanas al terremoto, al noroeste.

This research covers the technical and soft skills required in software development, a globally in-demand activity. These skills are required to efficiently perform in a very globalized, competitive field. Previous studies show the existence of a gap between industry and academia. Training centers provide professionals with technical skills, but as of late, the need for soft skills has become apparent, making it important to study and find ways to embed them into the professionals who join the industry. The application of Personal Software Process (PSP) methodology helps students to strengthen their skills in the software development process, however, the method is not widespread in academia nor industry. This article shows the importance of soft skills, according to Latin American companies, and how PSP can reduce the skills gap.

In the intricate process of translating The Complete Poetry of César Vallejo into Japanese, which was published in 2016 by the Gendai Kikakushitsu Publishing House in Tokyo, the most difficult challenge for the translator was, without doubt, the reproduction of the poetic language of The Blacks Heralds, because in this collection of poems, our poet is still looking for his own style, sometimes imitating the existing currents such as Spanish American modernismo. In contrast to the post-Trilce works of Vallejo, for which the translator could invent his own style «closed in itself», The Blacks Heralds, required him to access several corpus of the modern Japanese expression —the vocabulary of Japanese poets of the same period as The Blacks Heralds, and even the Japanese translated versions of Western poetry— to reproduce the complex poetic formation which beats in the book.

This article systematizes and shows the four models of edition followed by the ecdotica on Vallejo’s poetry. Each of them is framed in the historiographical context that goes from the sixties of the 20th century (pre-critical edition and critical edition) to the second decade of the 21st century (diplomatic edition). The judicial process followed against César Vallejo is one of the most iconic cases of our legal system, as it not only resulted in the imprisonment of our universal poet but also took place when the foundations of our penal system were being reformed. In other words, the trial was an opportunity to demonstrate that our penal system evolved from an inquisitorial to an accusatorial system. Unfortunately, the opposite proved to be true: despite the change of code, the inquisitorial assumptions were unfairly applied against our universal poet with the purpose of ensuring his imprisonment during the instructive stage of the process, that is, before the relevant oral trial to determine his innocence. In this sense, this article seeks to demonstrate how the purpose of this first stage was undermined.
