With the social outbreak in Chile in October 2019, a series of demonstrations and citizen mobilizations of different sectors of society began, which promoted various requests for social claims and demands. It is from this event that, on November 12 of that year, a presidential speech was issued, through which three major agreements were proposed to overcome the crisis that was being experienced, and one of those agreements was the agreement for a new constitution.This promise gave rise to the formation of the Constitutional Convention, the body which, after a long and arduous period of work, has recently presented a new draft constitutional text, which will be accepted or rejected by means of a plebiscite to be held in September of this year. In this context, the purpose of the interview is to analyze and evaluate the most decisive aspects of the constitutional process.

El estudio de las consecuencias políticas de los conflictos socioterritoriales ha privilegiado las categorías de efectos «acumulativos» y «combi-nados». El caso del archipiélago de Chiloé muestra un tipo de acumulación diacrónica de conflictos desde inicios del siglo XXI. Mining contexts involving Indigenous peoples have become complex terrains for ethnographic research, marked by a high degree of politicisation, conflict, and a dense landscape of social actors. As spaces of both encounter and dissonance, or misencounter, between asymmetrical actors, these settings demand a critically situated reflection on the positionality of the researcher, the purposes of the research, and the forms of engagement adopted in the field. In this paper, we have sought to prove the influence of the educational press on the development of grammatical ideas in Chile. Our corpus consists of two journals published at the end of the 19th century: Revista de Instrucción Primaria and Revista del Preceptorado de Atacama. In our analysis, we use the concept of “field” (Bourdieu, 2003) to illustrate how the dissemination of ideas in the specialized press enables the emergence and consolidation of primary school teachers as relevant actors in the local media. We conclude that this process allows for the emergence of new ideas and authorities within the teaching profession, which has an impact on the codification of grammar texts intended for use in schools. In the last years the internationalization of firms from developing countries has started gaining increased attention. This research attempts to contribute to the study of the process of firms’ internationalization by analyzing three Latin-American countries and connecting this phenomenon with capital availability and state actions to promote capital. Both direct and indirect policies have been used to encourage capital availability. Brazil is the country in which the state has intervened more actively and directly to increase capital availability and it is the most successful case in terms of firms’ internationalization. Chile also obtained a favorable outcome by using indirect policies to strengthen the capital market. Argentina lacks a consistent set of policies and, as a result, had a relatively poor performance in the internationalization of its firms.

This essay asks whether or not environmental legislation is one of the most important factors defining investment decisions in the copper mining industry, or if other factors are more important for decision-makers in those companies. Considering the relative importance of environmental legislation factors in the decision-making process, whether or not differences in environmental legislation between Peru and Chile have led to the migration of companies of one country to the other, phenomenon known as the Pollution Haven Hypothesis (PHH), is then analyzed. The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between students’ cognitive and self-regulatory strategies, academic engagement, and academic achievement in higher education, analyzing the mediating role of reading comprehension. Different tasks to assess the constructs were administered to 209 students (Mage = 21.71; SD = 4.36). The students' GPA was used as a measure of academic achievement. Significant associations were found between cognitive and self-regulation strategies, academic engagement, reading comprehension, and students' GPA. In addition, a positive association was found between cognitive and self-regulation strategies and academic engagement. Este artigo parte da lógica de encontrar uma definição clara e adequada para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa social com e para povos indígenas. O objetivo é poder definir a partir das visões indígenas, considerando-as como protagonistas do processo, como se conceitua a família indígena, especificamente dos povos andinos que possuem influências sociais de incanato. El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la influencia del compost de residuos sólidos orgánicos domiciliarios en el rendimiento del Zea mays “maíz” mediante el diseño de bloques completamente al azar (DBCA) con tres tratamientos y tres repeticiones, con una incorporación de 225, 300 y 375 g. de compost por planta y un testigo (T0), además, se realizó un análisis del fertilizante (compost) obteniendo como resultado, materia orgánica 21,93%, pH 7,47 y N-P-K de 1,70% – 0,15% - 1,11% respectivamente, el procesamiento de datos de las variables se determinó mediante el análisis de varianza y comparaciones múltiples de Tukey al 95% de confiabilidad, deduciendo que existe diferencia significativa entre los tratamientos, y que los óptimos son el T1, T2 y T3, lo cual significa que el compost influye significativamente en estas variables, e...

In the learning process, visual literacy is key for the construction of meanings, and knowledge of the components of visual language is an expected outcome of the school curriculum. However, studies offering empirical evidence in this area are scarce, particularly from teaching students. This research of exploratory type and with quantitative analysis techniques, examines which of these components would have a greater impact on the elaboration of texts of a visual nature, based on the evaluation of a corpus of illustrations originally made by Early Teacher Training students at a university that is a member of the Board of Chancellors of Chilean Universities. The research process allowed us to identify the predominance of color, composition and visual representation, whose evaluation could enhance learning in this area.
