This article presents the application of the non-parametric Random Forest method through supervised learning, as an extension of classification trees. The Random Forest algorithm arises as the grouping of several classification trees. Basically it randomly selects a number of variables with which each individual tree is constructed and predictions are made with these variables that will later be weighted through the calculation of the most voted class of these trees that were generated, to finally do the prediction by Random Forest. For the application, we worked with 3168 recorded voices, for which the results of an acoustic analysis are presented, registering variables such as frequency, spectrum, modulation, among others, seeking to obtain a pattern of identification and classification according to gender through a voice identifier. The data record used is in open access and can be do...

At present, teaching programming to future teachers is superficial or is excluded from computer science curricular. Only programming fundamentals are taught during computer studies, and skills acquired during the training are not applied in practice. The aims of this article are 1) to develop a programming course for teacher training disciplines that are taught in training units of the Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University (NEFU), and 2) give recommendations to apply features of the programming language Python in the professional activities of future teachers. This work applies the iterative methodological approach to undertake the study in various groups of students of NEFU from 2016 to 2019. Quantitative and objective indicators are used. Results show which modules of Python are the most appropriate for students to study for their future professional teaching activities. The trainin...

The incorporation of morphometric data into cladistic analyses poses methodological challenges, particularly in handling continuous characters and landmark configurations in matrices that include multiple individuals per taxon. Although the program TNT (Tree analysis using New Technology) has integrated functionalities for directly analysing continuous and morphogeometric characters, there remains a need for complementary tools that facilitate data preparation and processing. In this context, we present two open-source applications developed in Python: py_tps2tnt and py_tm2tnt. The former transforms TPS files containing multiple individuals per taxon, performs Procrustes alignments, calculates mean configurations, computes centroid size ranges, allows the selection of inter-landmark distances, and exports various types of data into TNT-compatible formats. The latter, py_tm2tnt, focuses o...

This paper describes the operationalization of López Chávez and Strassburger Frías' (2000) mathematical formula for lexical availability using the Python programming language. The methodology used is framed within a qualitative-explanatory approach of an illustrative nature, which allows us to observe how Python can be fully incorporated into lexical availability studies. Python significantly optimizes data processing, shortening the time required and facilitating analysis, as evidenced by the results.

GitHub is a platform that provides hosting for software development version control using Git. It features an application programming interface to allow the software to interact with the platform. The enormous quantity of information Hosted in GitHub may be useful to make studies about the current presence of development tools in the open-source software development community. However, the search engine has restrictions that make it impossible to issue complex queries to the platform. In this report, it is described as an object-oriented and extensible solution, named QuantityEr, to obtain the number of search results of complex queries to GitHub by using the inclusion-exclusion principle. The mathematical definitions, as well as related concepts, are presented. The mathematical model is discussed. The application of general design and used development tools are presented. Also, the resu...

The solution of Laplace's equation within a Classical Electrodynamics course is fundamental for the understanding of boundary problems in Electrostatics. In the present research work the analytical and numerical solution is obtained by the relaxation method, of a problem of infinite parallel plates, of the Laplace equation in Cartesian coordinates in an Euclidean space of two dimensions, specifically using the Python programming language, for its use in the teaching of Physics and its better phenomenological understanding. Likewise, the solutions obtained by both solution techniques are compared and discussed.

The teaching-learning processes nowadays require pedagogical supports that allow the teacher to generate a space of real interaction from the classroom, for the student with his career; the training of professionals in earth sciences or engineering, must be accompanied by the teaching of computer programming, using high-level languages, free download and open source, as a resource applied to the solution of specific problems, presented in the stability of slopes. Here is shown a Python application to calculate and plot the factor of safety of a slope, through a Graphical User Interface (GUI), inserting: libraries, variables, functions and widgets of this language. The safety factor obtained by the application is 1.26, which coincides with that obtained by the manual procedure, the coordinate that plots the safety factor (Fs), to determine its sensitivity, as a function of the reciprocal ...

Because the vast majority of scientific articles or papers that we can exchange with researchers use the program LATEXas a word processor main text, the objective of this work is that the reader knows how to generate vector graphics and insert them into his LATEXdocument. To do this, this article lists and demonstrates various techniques and tools that will allow you to achieve this goal. The combined use of programs such as Inkscape, Python and Tikz will show that the results for the graphics are of high quality since there is no loss of resolution when zooming in on the figures. It is known that the graphics in research articles illustrate what is stated in the theoretical aspect helping to transmit complex ideas in a more effective way, because a good and high quality graphic is worth more than a thousand words.

We present in this thesis the results of the design and programming of a temporal anal- ysis tool for experiment data MINERVA Test Beam (TbTaTool), which receives pions and electrons in the energy range corresponding to the end of the interactions of neutrinos energy states with MINERvA detector. The TbTaTool is independent, flexible and adapt- able to other contexts where we need to analyze the distribution of events over time, because it has separated datasets’ production from the tool itself. Our tool has been applied to the data (Run 2 and Run 3) that the experiment has obtained in MTest at Fer- milab, focusing on the variables of frequency of spill of the particles (MI’s spill frequency), duration of spill (MI’s spill duration) and the profile over time of packets corresponding to the delivery of the particles (time profile). Our calculations show 0.01% of difference for the f...

The construction sector is searching for new technologies, such as drones, that prove helpful for the surveillance and supervision of construction sites, especially in pandemic situations. This research proposes designing flight planning models to optimize flight time and speed. The main objective is to develop a model that allows multiple drones to carry out supervision tasks in construction areas. In this regard, it presents a dynamic programming model and a metaheuristic based on genetic algorithms, both applied for optimizing flight plans with multiple drones. The development process involves planning the route that the drones will follow by formulating the problem with the corresponding parameters. The next step is to generate a model for the dynamic programming algorithm, which is then validated using a genetic algorithm. The proposals implemented in Python were tested in 14 scenar...
