The purpose of the study was to describe the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of the structures that conforms the penis glans of the Peruvian guinea pig, and changes in the structure related to animal age. The study was conducted in 24 guinea pigs distributed in four age groups (1, 2 3, 5 months) of the Peru breed, where 20 samples taken for the macroscopic study and four for the microscopic study. The glans external surface is covered by small corneous scales of convex edge with tiny spicules directed to cranial. In the dorsal and ventral-lateral surfaces is observed the presence of extended and well-developed scales that are convex and have a free edge, with spicules directed dorsal-cranial. The glans sac is located dorsal to the penile urethra and the internal wall is covered by small scales and longitudinal folds and contains a pair of keratinaceous styluses. The os penis ...

Human babies are the only mammals that pause in the process of breastfeeding during the first months of life, a unique fact that is not related to any practical use. In the 1980s, some researchers linked these pauses to formats of shift exchange between mother and child within a process equivalent to a dialogue or conversation. Using an intrasubject unifactorial and univariate design, we have made observations on a pair of dizygotic twins trying to check how widespread the stop in the sucking process is and what role adult intervention plays in such behaviours. The results show, on the one hand, that these are generalized behaviors and, on the other hand, that the intervention of the adult is not necessary, although it does condition them, which would reinforce the innate character of the pauses and also their possible relation with the origin of the language.

Metal mining is one of the economic pillars of the Peruvian economy. Peru is the main producer of gold, zinc, lead, and tin in Latin America and the second largest producer of copper, silver, and zinc worldwide. Despite its economic importance, mining has also left a plethora of Mining Environmental Liabilities (MEL) whose inadequate waste management represents a risk for both the environment and human health and is a common trigger of social problems. La presente investigación analiza la influencia del sistema de salud, particularmente del subsistema privado, en el apoyo social que experimentan las mujeres adultas jóvenes diagnosticadas con enfermedades crónicas genitourinarias en Lima, Perú. El estudio se basó en una perspectiva crítica y sociocomunitaria que entiende los procesos de salud-enfermedad de forma integral y busca abordarlos desde la propia voz y experiencia de las mujeres. Se emplearon métodos cualitativos, específicamente entrevistas a profundidad con seis mujeres que permitieron la reconstrucción de sus itinerarios terapéuticos adhoc a la enfermedad genitourinaria. En Derecho, la demanda es el acto de iniciación procesal por antonomasia. Se diferencia de la pretensión procesal en que aquella se configura con motivo de la petición formulada ante un órgano judicial para que disponga la iniciación y el trámite del proceso.
