Mixed martial arts (MMA) has always been surrounded by controversy due to the unusual muscle development of its participants, so it is crucial to know the strategies that have been implemented to reduce doping cases. The main purpose of this paper is to describe the various cases of doping detected by USADA in UFC MMA participants. In addition, strategies that are being developed to reduce cases of positive doping are proposed. From the UFC USADA database, doping cases were extracted, obtaining the substance or substances involved; the formula, physiological effect and the athletes involved; the dates of the sampling; if it was out of competition or in-competition and the sanction time. The substances that were most involved were found to be Ostarine (22), Clomiphene (9), Diuretics (10) and Stanozolol (9). Some sanctions were diminished because they were treated with contamination of sup...

Innovation in a country should have an impact on different indicators of a country. Thus, it can be expected to have an impact on the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and, finally, on the country's competitiveness. This study analyzes the effect that innovation, in its human and financial resources components, has on the fulfillment of the SDGs and, likewise, how this fulfillment has an effect on the competitiveness of the countries of the European Union. The information used for innovation was reported on the European Commission's website; in the case of the SDGs, information from the SDG Index 2022 report was used. Finally, information on competitiveness was obtained from the World Competitiveness Ranking. The information from the 25 countries that had results in the sources was analyzed. The data collected were analyzed using the partial least squares structural ...

Objective: The aim is to better understand how education supports green entrepreneurship among students by analyzing their education development support, institutional support, country support, and entrepreneurial self-efficacy. Research Design & Methods: A total of 320 international business students in Peru filled the online survey. Eight questions focused on demographic information, and twenty-six questions evaluated the green entrepreneurship intention of students. We used the SEM-PLS technical analysis. Findings: We found that education development support (EDS; 0.146), institutional support (IS; 0.183), and country support (CS; 0.158) had a positive influence on entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE), while ESE had a positive influence (0.757) on the green entrepreneurial intention (GEI). The model explained 57.3% of the green entrepreneurial intention. Findings of the bootstrapping t...

“The Argentine health system has three subsectors: private, social works, and public. It is essential to consider the user’s perceptions through studies that measure the intention to revisit, through self-perceived care quality, to obtain results from the health care process and adjust the services provided accordingly. A correlational, cross-sectional, and non-experimental study has been carried out. A total of 407 people were surveyed using a self-administered questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale. The model considered four variables: quality of the use of health programs, satisfaction, confidence, and revisit intention. Second-generation statistics were adopted through multivariate evaluation using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to calculate the correlation values between the study variables. The direct route between the quality of health servi...

“: Successful project management depends on ensuring the project’s objectives. Within these objectives, technical success is associated with achieving the expectations of the project baseline. The baseline of the project is made up of the definition of the scope (WBS), time (schedule) and costs (S curve) of the project. Directly, the project is expected to be technically successful if it manages to deliver its full scope on schedule and without associated cost overruns. Baseline performance management is how project managers track and control the progress of deliverables, timelines and associated costs. In a traditional approach, for waterfall-type projects that use the critical path paradigm, the baseline performance management tool par excellence is earned value management (EVM). Earned value management, in practice, works well when project costs are monitored and controlled; howev...

The current study aims to validate and apply an instrument to assess the relationship between communication overload, social overload, technostress, exhaustion and academic performance. We performed a cross-sectional, analytical study of 2286 university medical students to assess the influence of technostress as a mediator of social media overload, communication overload and mental exhaustion and its detrimental effect on the academic performance of university students in Peru during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research model was validated using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to establish the influence of variables on the model. Communication and social overload were found to positively influence technostress by correlations of 0.284 and 0.557, respectively. Technostress positively influenced exhaustion by 0.898, while exhaustion negatively influenced academic...

Genetically modified (GM) foods are important because of their ability to increase crop yields, resist disease and adverse weather conditions, and improve nutritional quality. However, their use generates controversy because of concerns about food safety, benefits and risks due to their consumption. It is therefore necessary to evaluate the importance of these variables. The current study evaluated the variables that explain consumers' intention to purchase GM food in Panama. It was carried out by prospective, quantitative, non-experimental, and correlational research of 385 consumers. A multivariate technique evaluated the model proposed in the current study. Attitude toward food safety showed a negative effect on perceived risks from GM food and a positive effect on perceived benefits from GM food. Also, Perceived risks from GM food presented a negative and significant effect on Attitu...
