The objective of this study was to evaluate a tree planting campaign in the districts of Chorrillos, Lurin, Pachacamac, Punta Negra, San Juan de Miraflores, Santa Maria del Mar, Villa El Salvador and Villa Maria del Triunfo, located in the southern area of Metropolitan Lima, Peru. For this pur[1]pose, the survival rate of the tree individuals was assessed three months after being planted under the “Trees for Lima” program by the “Parks Service” (SERPAR). The goal was to determine the most suitable tree species for future afforestation projects according to their adaptability to different urban areas and response to maintenance efforts since initial establishment. Haemangiosarcoma is a malignant tumour of vascular origin and it is the most frequent of cardiac tumours in dogs. It is presented the case of a 8-year old Rottweiler dog with dyspnea, pale mucous and intolerance to exercise. Cardiac sounds were slightly perceptible with decreased femoral pulse. Lab tests showed thrombocytopenia, and acute kidney failure. Radiographic and echography tests were carried out identifying only pericardial effusion and cardiac obstruction. Pericardiocentesis was performed which cytology study was compatible with bloodstained serum exudate. A computerized axial tomography in thorax only detected enlargement of the right atrium. A right lateral thoracotomy was performed, identifying a neoplastic mass in the right atrium and several metastatic nodules in lungs and pericardium. This study starts on the discussion about different ways of seeing. To remove the sense of sight out of the daily function to an aesthetic perception of reality, it presents contributions of authors as Merleau-Ponty (1992), Godard (2004), and Blanchot (2001). In a dialectic relation between see and create, it transforms distinct ways of seeing in an impulse to dance creation. The sight, considered through an esthetical and philosophical perspective, independently if it is a blind person or not, puts the creativity on movement. In this way, some experiments based on the relation between see and move, proposed by the author, are described along the text. The conclusion is that the way of seeing, that is to say, someone’s position in relation to the world, is what allows the creation, and not the physiological condition of sight’s sense.

Paramo ecosystems are complex and of great value for biodiversity. Their complexity currently makes them fragile due to climate change and the increase in the agricultural and livestock frontier threatens the variety of birdlife in these areas. This research was carried out in the high Andean ecosystem, specifically on the Ruta del Hielero de Bolívar, covering an area of 9 km that begins at 4361 meters above sea level at the entrance to the Chimborazo Fauna Production Reserve and concludes at 3500 meters above sea level in the Mirador Playa Urcu 4 kilometers from the Community of Quindigua Central, Ecuador. Background: Trichosporon fungaemia (TF) episodes have increased in recent years and mortality rates remain high despite the advances in the management of sepsis. New concepts about its clinical course, treatment and microbiology need to be investigated for the better management of this infection. Objectives: To describe the aetiology, natural history, clinical management and prognostic factors of TF. Methods: TF episodes documented between 2005 and 2018 in 23 South American centres were retrospectively investigated by using a standard clinical form. The Amazon manatee (Trichechus inunguis) is endemic to the Amazon Basin, with limited information on population dynamics and currently listed as Vulnerable by the Red List of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The aim of this study was to compare three methodologies: visual detection (VD), side scan sonar technology (SBL), and surveys to local communities; to detect the presence of the Amazonian manatee and assess the use of these methods for future studies along the species distribution range. The study was carried out within the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Regional Conservation Areain Iquitos, Peru. The aim of this study was to evaluate the excessive duration of the study program and the academic situation of the entrants of the Professional School of Veterinary Medicine (EPMV) of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. The study followed up on entrants between 2004 and 2013, whether or not they had completed their studies. The formal graduation time was established at seven years (formal excess duration index = 1.0) and the time for timely graduation at eight years (timely excess time index = 1.0). By 2022, 78% of entrants had completed their studies, 21% had dropped out, and 42% had a professional degree. The average time from entry to obtaining the professional degree was 10.1 years. Los factores laborales pueden originar burnout en distintos niveles y a algunos trabajadores; todos se encuentran expuestos ante varios estresores diarios, pero no todos son afectados de la misma forma ni con la misma intensidad. Debido a esto, el presente estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar cuál es el rasgo de personalidad del Big Five que se correlaciona más con el burnout en docentes. Para ello, se realizó una búsqueda sistemática siguiendo las indicaciones PRISMA en la base de datos EBSCOhost. Se analizaron ocho estudios que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. This research focuses on the application of the definition of a convex set, which allows us to design and build the graph of bounded surfaces described by cylinders whose directrix curve is a polar curve that intersects with a quadric surface or a function defined in two variables and thus generates bounded surfaces to be constructed using the GeoGebra Suite Calculator. Three cases are presented where the importance of the convex set concept in the parameterization of this type of surface is highlighted. The study of 1,173 cancer cases registered in two years and trotados parallel with Cobalt-60 and Roentgen-Radium Radium is presented. In both treatment modalities , the dose and the technical procedure were equivalent. The selection of patients was only considering how external conformation of the patient (obese patients were compulsorily treated with Cobalt 60 ) and the availability of time on the cobalt unit . It has been found that only 75 % of patients receiving appropriate and comprehensive treatment ( the other percentage 110 receives for reasons beyond the department) and 62% of it ( 75%) out of sight , ie , are not controlled at 5 years . While this obstetric procedure turns out to be the solution to the difficult problems of labor, its increase accelerated as in other centers, has become an issue of current concern, which deserves examination, evaluation and analysis, able to determine to what extent the increase turns out to be the correct procedure. It is known that in welfare centers like ours, resources for health care are always insufficient, forcing us to adopt behaviors aimed at rationalization, but without losing sight of the quality and efficiency that they must pay.

Algarrobo trees, Prosopis sp., were assessed at Tongorrape forest (Motupe-Lambayeque) in order to know infestation and damages levels of Heteropsylla texana Crawford, and natural enemies of the pest. Assessments, 10 in total, were carried out each 15 days from march to july, 2014. Algarrobo trees were selected taking on account similarity in height, age and foliage density. Infestation was evaluated with a scale from grade 0 to 5 on five terminal buds per tree. On each tree, by sight, foliage damage intensity was determined under a scale from grade 0 to 5. Terminal buds were conditioned on plastic jars to carry them to an insect recovery laboratory. Insect identification was carried out at La Molina-Lima SENASA entomological museum.
