The objective of this study is to predict the quantity of ANFO required for bench blasting in an open pit mine in Peru, through the application of advanced machine learning techniques. Six models were selected: Artificial Neural Networks (ANNMLP), Random Forests (RF), Support Vector Machines for Regression (SVR), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Bayesian Regression (BR), due to their ability to handle complex multidimensional data and their success in similar applications, such as rock fragmentation prediction. The methodology included the collection of data from 208 drill holes, which were divided into training (70%), validation (15%), and testing (15%) sets. The present research aims to evaluate the project-based learning of native species for the phytoremediation of drained waters in the Tangana mine and the bioaccumulation capacity of lead and cadmium through the species putacca (Family apiaceae) and cattail (Scirpus californicus), in the District of Huachocolpa of the Province and Department of Huancavelica (Peru). Applying the instrumental analytical methodology, satisfactory results were obtained for the environment, since both metals (cadmium and lead) were absorbed by these species. Currently, type 2 diabetes mellitus is one of the world's most prevalent diseases and has claimed millions of people's lives. The present research aims to know the impact of the use of machine learning in the diagnostic process of type 2 diabetes mellitus and to offer a tool that facilitates the diagnosis of the dis-ease quickly and easily. Different machine learning models were designed and compared, being random forest was the algorithm that generated the model with the best performance (90.43% accuracy), which was integrated into a web platform, working with the PIMA dataset, which was validated by specialists from the Peruvian League for the Fight against Diabetes organization. In this study, sentiment analysis was developed and applied to technological products in the Twitter/X social network, also, the opinions expressed by customers were determined and finally the most suitable predictive model derived from Machine Learning was identified. For this purpose, 7102 tweets related to Apple and Samsung products were collected, using the methodology proposed by Erl, Khattak and Buhler which facilitated the implementation of its critical phases. The results obtained from sentiment analysis were evaluated using standard metrics such as Accuracy, Precision, Recall and F1-Score, applied to four machine learning models: K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Logistic Regression (LR), Random Forest (RF) and CatBoost Classifier (CC). This work proposes a semi-automated analysis and modeling package for Machine Learning related problems. The library goal is to reduce the steps involved in a traditional data science roadmap. To do so, Sparkmach takes advantage of Machine Learning techniques to build base models for both classification and regression problems. These models include exploratory data analysis, data preprocessing, feature engineering and modeling. The project has its basis in Pymach, a similar library that faces those steps for small and medium-sized datasets (about ten millions of rows and a few columns). Educational institutions collect and manage information about their students in order to support decision-making aimed at improving academic performance and the overall achievement of their community. The objective of this research was to identify findings on academic performance considering sociocultural factors throughout secondary education. It analyzes the editorials of the Peruvian newspaper La República published from May 5 to June 6, 2021, dates in which the political campaigns for the second round of elections for the presidency of Peru took place. The aim is to discover relevant information to understand the use of the terminologies communicated through the written language in that newspaper. Using the text mining technique and machine learning algorithms for the analysis of unstructured data, a dendrogram and clusters were created to validate and estimate the groupings of the most frequent terms. This study examines how Online Program Management (OPM) firms articulate their strategic identities through mission statements, assessing the extent to which these communicated values align with those of higher education institutions (HEIs). Drawing on a corpus of 106 OPM mission statements from 15 countries, we apply Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) to identify dominant themes and recurrent patterns. The analysis reveals five thematic clusters: educational transformation, learner empowerment, online learning platforms, specialized professional education, and accessible global education. Student academic performance at universities is crucial for education management systems. Many actions and decisions are made based on it, specifically the enrollment process. During enrollment, students have to decide which courses to sign up for. This research presents the rationale behind the design of a recommender system to support the enrollment process using the students’ academic performance record.
