The cross-border exchange of goods, services, capital, and knowledge has emerged as a crucial driver of economic prosperity. Consequently, the objective of this work is to provide an overview of research trends in foreign and international trade, identifying thematic gaps and outlining areas for future research. To achieve this, a scientometric analysis and a systematic review of literature on the production of Scopus were carried out in the last five years. The findings revealed significant growth in current production, in which information was predominantly in English. Similarly, policy formulation requires a comprehensive approach, with a balance between free markets and protectionism, and an encouragement of participation in trade agreements and free trade agreements that drive multilateral and bilateral integration. The exponential growth of e-commerce in Peru has generated new problems in the effectiveness of consumer rights and the consequent consumer distrust in e-commerce transactions. Government authorities have repeatedly mentioned that a solution to these problems would be the regulation of electronic consumer’s relationships established at national level. This solution goes on the same page with the tendency of the European Union to regulate digital markets. However, is the legislative initiative an ideal solution to solve the new problems generated by e-commerce?.In this article, the authors find that regulation of e-commerce would not completely solve the new problems generated by it. They evidence the necessity of utilizing market solutions based on new technological mechanisms such as smart contracts. These tool...

What is «liquidable» and how should this concept be faced by arbitrators and judges? Can an enforcement judge determine concepts such as costs, interests and/or penalties if the arbitral tribunal has not provided any parameters? What fundamental rights might be violated? In accordance with international arbitration practice, we will deal here with the problems arising from the division of functions between judges and arbitrators in relation to the enforcement of the «liquidable» concepts.

Objective: Determine the taxation of electronic commerce in the Ecuadorian tax context. Method: The focus of the study was documentary, exploratory and descriptive in which the information was selected from the critical reading of documents and bibliographic material, official information and statistics from national and international organizations. Electronic commerce is a way of sale that has come to stay. It helps companies to overcome physical barriers, and in theory, it increases their sales. However, does electronic commerce have any impact on the firms' revenue? This research sought the answer by employing OLS and quantile regressions in a sample of 2164 Peruvian retail firms. The dataset was obtained through the INEI economic survey of 2019, which was the last one. For methodological purposes, electronic commerce was compared against the other sales channels employed by the studied firms. It was found that electronic commerce positively impacted the income in firms with more enormous revenues but was still low compared with traditional commerce forms.

The enforceability of awards is the most valued feature of arbitration. This alternative dispute resolution mechanism depends, almost entirely, on the efficiency of the final product it provides: the award. The quality of this instrument, however, may vary depending on the arbitrators in charge of rendering it and, most important, the institutions that fulfill the function of regulating the arbitral procedure. In this article, the authors propose that arbitral institutions in Peru implement the scrutiny of awards in order to improve the quality and enforceability of awards. This scrutiny aims to be an additional competition factor among them as well as it leads them to having a higher quality standard in the services they offer. This measure is in accordance with the users’ preferences and would demand great institutional effort, a technical design work, a strong policy in favor of inte...

The objective of the research was to determine the impact of electronic commerce on the performance of agroexports in the central region of Peru, 2020. The study was carried out from a quantitative approach with a nonexperimental - cross-sectional - causally correlated research design. Using the survey technique, two questionnaires were applied to 95 agro-exporters, one for electronic commerce and the other for export performance. Using the structural equations model, it was obtained that electronic commerce in its compatibility dimension does not have a positive impact on the efficiency of the distribution of companies (p > 0.05) and does have a positive impact on the efficiency of communication (p < 0.05). Regarding ease of use, it does not have a positive impact on the efficiency of the distribution (p > 0.05; however, it does have a positive impact on the efficiency of communication ...
