The task of elaborating accurate test suites for program testing can be an extensive computational work. Mutation testing is not immune to the problem of being a computational and time-consuming task so that it has found relief in the use of heuristic techniques. The use of Genetic Algorithms in mutation testing has proved to be useful for probing test suites, but it has mainly been enclosed only in the field of imperative programming paradigms. Therefore, we decided to test the feasibility of using Genetic Algorithms for performing mutation testing in functional programming environments. In the present’s paper studying a strategy for a typo of convex problem, we treat a linear programming problem whose coefficient of decision variables in the objective function has a nonlinear behavior. When the coefficients are constant the Simplex Method solves these problems without much difficulty, but when the coefficients are no longer constant and the Simplex does not work. We propose a technique that exploits the convex behavior of these coefficients and uses the theory of approximation by piecewise linear functions.

More than 45 years of IEP/TP research and a few focused on IEP/TP functions or roles. Yet, the quality of an IEP/TP relies on the functions that it fulfills to satisfy the needs of its different users (Petitdemange,1985). The Quebec Ministry of Education (MEQ, 2004) and the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services within the U.S. Department of Education (in Eichler, 1999) explicitly identified and described six to seven IEP/TP functions. However, a literature review and practising environments highlighted a greater number of functions. The goal of this research is to identify the different functions that an IEP/TP should fulfill in regard to the different needs of its diverse users. Positive Youth Development (PYD) is an approach that promotes resilience and focuses on youth strengths rather than their weaknesses as done by the traditional deficit-based perspective. Research in Europe and North America show that developmental assets are associated with school success, psychological well-being, and lower health risks among youth and young adults. However, not much research has been done on these associations in Latin American contexts. The purpose of this research study is to assess the association between substance use behaviors, such as drunkenness and the use of illicit drugs, and mental health, together with the mediating role of developmental assets representing youth strengths (e.g., social competence) and contextual resources (e.g., social support at home or school). Methods. Analytical, longitudinal, retrospective cohort study, in 18 months. By means of a sample of 46 patients, in two cohorts, functional performance was determined by dimensions of basic activities (Barthel indexes), strength and endurance (SPPB) and walking speed. Five values or categories were used to determine dependency, frailty and incoordination. Social impact assessment (SIA) has become an important factor for social conflicts prevention. In this study, we conducted SIA using the center-point triangular whitenization weight functions (CTWF) method, which is based on grey systems theory. A case study was conducted on a hydrocarbon exploration project located in the Gulf of Valencia, Spain. Two stakeholder groups and four evaluation criteria were identified. The results revealed that for the group of the directly linked population, the project would have very negative social impact; and for the group of indirectly linked citizens, the project would have negative social impact. The results could help central and community governments to make the best decision on the project. The method showed interesting results and could be apply to SIA of other projects or programs.

Cultural practices such as machismo, marianismo, and familismo are related to keeping quiet and remaining in an abusive relationship in Latinas. Difficulties in sharing emotions, setting interpersonal boundaries, and communicating needs are also behavioral barriers to seeking help in this population. In the current literature, there is limited evidence of the effects of teaching programming languages using two different paradigms concurrently. In this paper, we present our experience in using a multiparadigm and multiprogramming approach for an Introduction to Programming course. The multiparadigm element consisted of teaching the imperative and functional paradigms, while the multiprogramming element involved the Scheme and Python programming languages. For the multiparadigm part, the lectures were oriented to compare the similarities and differences between the functional and imperative approaches. For the multiprogramming part, we chose syntactically simple software tools that have a robust set of prebuilt functions and available libraries. Background: The Antimicrobial Optimization Programs (PROA) in Health Institutions are a strategy implemented in various countries. The study: Our objective was to carry out an electronic survey in health establishments that have hospitalization services in Peru. Findings: One hundred seventy establishments (38.4%) responded to the survey between MINSA (90%), ESSALUD (4.2%), Armed Forces - PNP (2.9%) and Private (2.9%). Only 49 (28.8%) had PROA working within their institution. 83.7% had a Director Resolution that they supported in functions and 38.8% reported having a PROA activity plan. The most frequent problems identified are the lack of trained human resources (24.6%), the lack of training and technical assistance (13.1%) and the failure to prescribe antibiotics (11.5%). En el presente trabajo se estudia una estrategia para un tipo de problema convexo, Tratamos un problema de programación lineal cuyos coeficientes de las variables de decisión en la función objetivo tienen un comportamiento no lineal. Cuando los coeficientes son constantes el Método Simplex resuelve estos problemas sin mayor dificultad, pero cuando los coeficientes dejan de ser constantes ya el simplex no funciona, Se propone una técnica que explota el comportamiento convexo de dichos coeficientes y hace uso de la teoría de aproximación por funciones lineales a trozos.

The research carried out had the objective of analyzing the follow-up process carried out by the accompaniment service for the families of the CUNA MÁS National Program, for an adequate quality management. Methods. It was a research with a quantitative approach, explanatory level, non-experimental design, transectional. The group of specialists from the Territorial Units of the Program was considered as a population, therefore, the sample consisted of 20 subjects. How to keep students interested in a CS1 course is not new to those who teach the subject. This work describes our experience in the use of Python with its Turtle Graphic Library in a game-oriented approach that seeks to increase the interest and motivation of students. We present the assignment for branch, loops and functions: the simulation of a basic game with a spaceship that can shoot a bullet to the enemy. Our experience has shown us that students get engaged and motivate themselves with the graphical component. We have found an improvement in students' grades.
