The study focuses on the perception by children, parents, teachers and principals of educational institutions of the three rural regions of Peru about the implementation of the One laptop per child programme. It identifi es basic economic, social and cultural defi ciencies within the population as an obstacle to benefi t from the technological resource and points out the State’s inadequate administrative management. In conclusion, more democratic practices are needed with an emphasis on the pedagogical aspect in order to improve rural education in Peru.

This paper presents an experience in teaching innovation whose goal is to improve learning in engineering students and teachers (University of Seville, Spain). This innovation offers students a realistic, professional and updated vision of the contents, allowing them a direct contact with the problems posed by the knowledge and competence inherent to a subject, using facilities and resources at a high-tech research laboratory. It is an assessment-research case study that uses quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The results show improvement in the students’ learning processes as well as their high satisfaction; it also highlights the difficulties found. The teachers acknowledge this innovation process as a strategy to learn to teach and create improvements for the program.

The article focuses on the confrontation /comparison? between the naturalistic and the experimental paradigms to evaluate educational programs. It examines the theoretical framework of each paradigm and the proposed methodology to pursue an evaluation. Finally, the article addresses the possibility of a reconciliation between both paradigms.

Mathematicians and computational designers from a School of Architecture, explore visual programming in the environment of a design software with exercises of a basic mathematics course to overcome the limitations of hand drawing and computerized representation of geometry. We link the learning of geometry, which was associated with abstract aspects of mathematics, with the possibilities of solving design problems in the same environment that students use to design with technologies. The teaching of human parasitology is essential for students of health sciences, especially medicine, because it is a major global public health problem―occurring with high frequency in low-income countries―and because of its presence in countries considered developed. In this sense, it is estimated that worldwide there are 2,800 million individuals infected with soil-transmitted helminths, 20 to 30% people infected with Toxoplasma gondii, 300 to 500 million new cases of malaria per year, and nearly 15 million Latin Americans with Chagas disease, an infection caused by Trypanosoma cruzi. La investigación pretende analizar los efectos de la aplicación de un programa de entrenamiento en escritura en el idioma inglés a través del desarrollo de la competencia de expresión escrita mediante el enfoque orientado en el proceso, en los estudiantes de Idiomas Extranjeros de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación y Humanidades de la Universidad Nacional de la Amazonia Peruana – Iquitos, Perú. Para ello, se dividió la clase Composición en Inglés, de 46 alumnos, en dos grupos: experimental y de control. Al primer grupo se le aplico el programa propuesto y el segundo grupo siguió con el contenido tradicional de la asignatura. Finalmente, el estudio presenta los resultados obtenidos en ambos grupos al finalizar el semestre.

The process of creation of the educational policies must be in accordance with plans that come after them. The politics and the programs of training argue, among their objectives, the possibility of transforming the practice in something better, the article analyzes the process to achieve the transformation. Additionally, a brief presentation of the program of teaching formation, implemented by the Ministry of Education in 2002, is shown.

The current research article shows the Influence of a Program of Self-esteem in the School performance applied at students of fourth and fifth grade of Primary Education in the Educational Institution Nº 10039 of the District of New Arica - 2012". Objective: To demonstrate the effectiveness of the application of an educational program on global warming in the development of environmental awareness in 5th and 6th grade students of the I. E. No. 84062 of the district of Cochabamba, province of Huacaybamba, department of Huánuco (Peru). Methods. The approach was quantitative, the type of research was explanatory, experimental and the design was pre-experimental. A previously validated questionnaire was applied. The inferential test applied was Student's t-test. Results. In the initial test before the application of the program, 72% (18) of the students had a high percentage of lack of knowledge (72%). Objetive: To establish a model of learning evaluation system to ensure the development of those established in the curriculum of the human medicine program of the Universidad Nacional del Santa. Methods: The methodology used was basic, descriptive and quantitative, and the instrument used was a questionnaire, which was applied to a sample of 179 medical students and 76 teachers. Data collection was performed with informed consent through an online Google form, which included 30 items, based on 4 stages: evaluation planning, evaluation stage, evaluation techniques and instruments, and evaluation system model.
