In order to evaluate the forms of interaction in the main Instagramers from Peru and Colombia, an exploratory analysis of their profiles was carried out on the Instagram audiovisual platform during 2019. For this reason, firstly, the Heepsy tool was used to establish the influencers with greater impact within the platform in both countries and then, through the monitoring tools Fan Page Karma and Social Blade, to determine a set of variables and parameters regarding their interaction. The results show that the audience index is higher for Instagramers from Colombia than for the ones from Peru. In addition, there is a clear trend among digital audiences to value content through likes as a sign of interaction with it, but on the other hand, there is a representative decrease in expressing their impressions with words and comments regarding what they observe; this is also established by the...

This article develops a robust platform for remote process management.JAVA language is used as a programming language at three levels of development: Control Servers, Web Server and Web Clients. The interaction with the control servers will be through the serial port and/or parallel port depending on the requirement. Thus we can interact with any specialized control device: A microcontroller, a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) or sophisticated sensors that send data through the aforementioned ports, theLocal network of Control servers ensure the reliability and proper functioning of our processes. The exit door to the Internet will be the "Web Servers", which serve clients; Such a client does not have direct access to the system, until it has verified its privileges. The information thatjourney through the Web is encrypted. Using a microcontroller we w...

The article examines the nature of the effect of the digital economy and artificial intelligence on the participants of the school educational process. The study deploys a Likert scale questionnaire, focused interview, and IBM SPSS Statistics 22 as the main instruments. The authors determine the status of a teacher in the AI-teacher system and identify the nature of AI’s influence on the students and communication within the teacher-student-teacher system. Support is provided for the hypothesis suggesting that the effect of the digital economy and AI on the participants of the school educational process (teachers and students) is complex and controversial and causes the differences in the teachers’ positions depending on their age, working experience, and the subject of specialization. The primary advantage of the article is the identification of stable relationships in the teacher-s...

Traditional marketing employs the brand funnel metaphor to explain the purchasing process of customers, in order to better aim its efforts towards influencing their decisions. Said funnel is based around five stages: awareness, consideration, buy, loyalty and engagement. However, there is a new reality of hyper-connected digital consumers, which have at their disposition hundreds of means of communication, changing their relationship with brands and putting the significance and accuracy of the brand funnel into question. This is especially prevalent among young emerging consumers. The current study measured and analyzes the impact of the digital era on brand interaction among young emerging consumers in the Colombian case, thus focusing on emerging markets, while analyzing brands in both mass consumption and durable goods markets. A structural equation model (SEM) was created to estimate...

It would not be wrong to say that a transformation has started in education as in all fields since the 2000s when the Internet began to spread. In the traditional education model, the student-centered learning models take the place of the teacher understanding that stores the information in itself, directing the student to different sources and competing with each student. According to Prensky, the generation of the so-called digital natives, who was born after 1980, has its own characteristics, its propensity to technology and digital media, contrasts with the teacher from the traditional education model. It would not be wrong to say that traditional educators, whose learning processes take place in the library environment, are replaced by educators who direct the students to digital environments where millions of information can be accessed with a single click and who design their cour...

Purpose: The aim of this article is to establish a theoretical-methodological proposal to study discursive interactivity from a multidisciplinary perspective different from the traditional structural and quantitative media research. The sociological definition of interaction and the basis of discourse analysis –as a theoretical discipline and scientific method– are assumed to propose a concept of interactivity that addresses the double materiality of the term: as a structure and a process. Methodology: Grounded theory becomes a methodological strategy and is complemented by the bibliographic-documentary method and discourse analysis. By means of theoretical sampling, codification, constant comparison and theoretical saturation, a category is determined that emerges as central, for which the following are established: conceptual definition, dimensions, subcategories and indicators. Re...

The COVID-19 pandemic has generated a pedagogical vacuum in dental education, which, due to the clinical, practical and laboratory nature of the subjects, forced teachers to incorporate innovative digital teaching resources in which learning environments are simulated that help promote the development of skills and knowledge in search of continuous improvement. However, students have also seen the need to resort to virtual platforms that allow them to better adapt to this complex hybrid blended learning system. The findings of this review are the product of an exploratory study whose purpose was to identify the main Information and Communication Technologies and organize them according to interpretation tools, dynamic modeling; communication, collaboration and organization. In this way, we provide the academic community with a vision of their impact on the learning and self-learning proc...

The virtual public space tends to be articulated as an extension of the contemporary public sphere. However, this is a process that is not being developed horizontally at a global level, there are countries that, like Peru, are identified by the predominant mediation of traditional media, as a consequence of the digital divide, according to which approximately half of the population is still not connected. This study presents the results of a survey of 720 university students in Peru, and our interest lies in describing aspects such as the relationship between trust and consumption of digital media in this country; the main characteristics required of an informative website; the most used interaction mechanisms; and, ultimately, how a group so relevant to Peruvian democracy, such as young university students, tends to channel their participation and experience online.

This research evaluates the communication that the 60 accredited universities in Ecuador develop on their websites. The objective is to determine the importance they attach to interactive communication and to analyze whether there is association with institutional factors, with the position in world rankings and with the website traffic. Content analysis was used and a Web Communication Index –WCI– was created to identify the presence of communication management and the adoption of interactive channels in the portals; the Similar Web tool was also used. Among the main results, it was found that the universities sites have low levels of traffic in their category, that the presence of communication management is minimal, and that there are statistically significant differences according to the type of financing and the year of foundation. Assessing the potential of websites is key to i...

The construction of gene interaction models must be a fully collaborative and intentional effort. All aspects of the research, such as growing the plants, extracting the measurements, refining the measured data, developing the statistical framework, and forming and applying the algorithmic techniques, must lend themselves to repeatable and sound practices. This paper holistically focuses on the process of producing gene interaction models based on transcript abundance data from Arabidopsis thaliana after stimulation by a plant hormone.
