This paper aims at filling the gap regarding the need to incorporate self-efficacy in translator training programmes in a structured way (Atkinson & Crezee, 2014). It describes a learning experience implemented in the translation classroom aimed at developing students’ translation self-efficacy, i.e., their confidence in their abilities to translate (Bandura 1987, 1997; Haro-Soler, 2017a, 2017b). This experience included practices such as goal-setting as a motivational incentive, verbal persuasion, vicarious learning, and activities to promote students’ self-awareness. Related perspective, in congruence with the major existing literary contributions, and goes on to discuss characteristics inherent to a learning organization- as well as identifying possible courses of action that may be deemed conducive to the development of an organization of such type. Finally, a series of comments are elaborated with regard to the shortcomings to this approach.

Applied educational research aimed to determine the influence of situated learning on the development of critical thinking in Higher Pedagogical Education students. To this end, an experimental study was carried out, with a quasi-experimental design, which involved 192 students, selecting a sample of 56 students through a non-probabilistic sampling method. This sample was divided equally into two groups: experimental and control, each consisting of 28 students. Data collection was carried out using a pedagogical test composed of 30 items. The hypothesis evaluation was carried out using the Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that the situated learning strategy significantly affects the development of analysis, explanation, inference, interpretation, evaluation and self-regulation capacities in the development of students' critical thinking (p=0.000<0.05).

“It is important to preserve our cultural identity through the preservation of our mother tongue, contributing to its dissemination. Augmented reality (AR) is a great ally of education that provides efficiency, and productivity and increases the interest of students in their academic activities. An AR application was developed for learning Quechua in preschool children, thus improving their learning, satisfaction, and preference compared to traditional teaching. The objective of this research was to determine the predominant learning strategy that is related to the development of the autonomy of students belonging to the seventh semester from a public educational institution in Lima. It was developed as a substantive research and with a quantitative approach. Its design was non-experimental and cross-sectional-correlational. The population consisted of 171 students, to whom two questionnaires were applied. The results showed that the information coding strategy has more weight on the development of the autonomy of the students in question. Likewise, it is a risk strategy that means that a student who does not manage it, he will always present low levels of autonomous learning.

Introducción: Los médicos que realizarán el servicio rural peruano estarán muy expuestos a la soledad, problemas laborales y otros, que pueden tener repercusiones mentales. El objetivo fue determinar los factores asociados a la depresión entre los médicos que trabajarán en zonas rurales del Perú. Método: Estudio observacional, de corte transversal y analítico, de datos secundarios. Las encuestas se recolectaron entre los médicos peruanos recién graduados que realizarían en pocas semanas el Servicio Rural y Urbano-Marginal en Salud. Se definió depresión según el test de Zung, asociándose a variables sociales y educativas.
