This paper reflects on the capacities of enterprise contracts, such as the ‘FAC-1 Framework Alliance Contract’, to facilitate and enhance the success of BIM processes. We will consider some of the main legal issues arising in the development of a project using BIM processes and will show how the application of FAC-1 as a collaborative framework helped tackle such legal issues on a school project undertaken in the municipality of Liscate in Italy. We will highlight how, on the Liscate project, the correct combination of a collaborative contract tool, a good procurement strategy and the adoption of BIM increased the efficiency of information exchanges, the effectiveness of process decisions and information management and the reduction of information asymmetries.

This article aims to integrate business processes in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs, or PYMES for its acronym in Spanish). The integration will be achieved through the development of web applications based on integration architectures, such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web services. The integration of business processes allows companies to join their business objectives, as well as optimize processes based on the concept of service. To achieve an optimal communication between companies and their clients through the services, various web standards were used, including: XML as standard format to describe the data; SOAP as data exchange protocol; WSDL to describe available services; and finally UDDI to publish information and check what web services are available.

The Ecuadorian Amazon region is permanently subject to deforestation processes and in parallel to the implementation of agricultural, and livestock management systems that can affect soil quality. This study assessed the effect of different land use types on soil quality using the Integrated Soil Quality Index (SQI) and minimum indicators. To do this, it considers representative soil samples, 4 types of land use, and a productive landscape in the province of Pastaza. The land use types evaluated were sugarcane (SC), agrosilvopastoral System (ASPS) silvopastoral timber system (SSTT), and secondary forest (SF). Stochastic processes with the long-range dependency (LRD) property are fundamental to modeling data that exhibit slow power decay of the covariance function. Such behavior often appears in the analysis of financial data, telecommunications, and various natural phenomena. Thus, introducing new stochastic models and statistical methods that take the LRD into account is of great interest. Based on previous work, we introduce a new stochastic process called quadratic fractionally integrated moving average, that arises from the Quadratic Ornstein-Uhlenbeck Type (QOUT) process, proposed in the literature. This study develops and empirically validates an integrated conceptual model that investigates the causal relationships among Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Jidoka, and economic sustainability (ECSU) within the manufacturing industry. Based on Resource and Capability Theory as well as Systems Theory, the model posits that TPM directly influences both jidoka and ECSU, while jidoka acts as a mediator in the relationship between TPM and ECSU. Utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM-PLS) and data collected from 357 surveys of the maquiladora industry in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, the analysis confirms that TPM positively affects jidoka (β=,632, p<0,001) and ECSU (β=0,340, p<0,001). This article uses ethnography to explore some of the ways in which religion and sexual diversity intersect in contemporary society. It studies the case of the so-called “rainbow communities” in Spain: groups of Christian lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and trans individuals (LGBT+) who organize themselves to live these identities complementarily against the frequent oppositional understandings. The research analyzes data collected during continuous fieldwork with these communities from 2019 to 2023, and through a systematic review of archives. In medical services, there is a high percentage of dissatisfaction with medical care due to the processes related to appointment booking and waiting time for medical consultation. The constant increases in electricity tax costs and the mandatory contracting of power demand in advance by companies connected to the high-voltage electrical system drive organizations to improve energy planning in their production processes. In addition, market uncertainties make only stochastic methods insufficient for forecasting future production demand. Anonymous questionnaires (17 multiple choice and dichotomous questions) were applied to 341 participants, including trial lawyers in family violence, public defenders, magistrates and family court clerks, lawyers for the Women's Emergency Center (Tacna) and family prosecutors (holders and deputies).
