In this research work, we developed an application based on Augmented Reality (RA) to teach parents or guardians of deaf children. The problem is that parents have serious difficulties in communicating with their children, because they do not use the same language for communication. An application based on Peruvian Sign Language was developed, using the Unity video game engine, the Leap Motion component, javascript and the C # programming language. This application allows parents or guardians of deaf children to be taught the sign language that allows them to communicate adequately with their children. The tests were conducted with 10 parents in the district of Andahuaylas in Apurímac-Peru. The results show that the parents or guardians are motivated to use the proposed application, and the learning time of the first 9 letters of the alphabet have reduced from 4.1 to 2.1 hours.

This paper presents the results of two different experiences about computational thinking acquisition, gained within a formal subject taught in a multidisciplinary (Digital Humanities) master program of a face-to-face teaching university of Spain, following a blended learning approach and using flipped classroom techniques. These results have been obtainedafter imparting lecturing this subject for two consecutive academic years, with similar but distinctive methodologies each. In effect, even though both of them can be considered task-based(or, alternatively, learning-by-doing-based), the first one has focused on grouplearningandhas been inspired by the computer engineering technique of evolutionary prototyping; whereasthe second one builds upon individual learning and case-based (or example-based) learning. Thus, the paper details the parameters defined for each experience and methodology...

As a result of the development of low cost and high-performance scientific instruments, it has been developed some experimental set ups, measurement methods and tools (numerical and graphic) in order to obtain trustable results. Some of the assays were proof of concept that, in spite of been qualitative, have been rescued taking into account their value in the understanding of physical and chemical phenomena useful for teaching Science and Engineering. Some cases, developed by using two of the resources normally standard in personal computers such as the microphone and web cam, for sound-based tests and visible light as well as Raman spectrometry, are presented. The techniques have been developed in support of the development of Scientific Alternative Instruments (ICA in Spanish).
